After waking up from my nap, I made my way downstairs to find almost everything settled down, including our furniture.

But no one was home.

Pulling out my phone, I called Satoru.

"Sorry, the number you--"

I called again, but he still didn't pick up. So, I dialed Megumi.

"Sorry--"

"Why aren't they picking up?" I grumbled.

"Don't worry about them."

I looked up startled, staring at my reflection from the glass doors to the backyard.

"Who..?"

A shadow figure appeared behind me with one hand on my shoulder, its eyes gleaming red.

"Why worry when you should be more worried about the twins safety."

"Who are you?" I growled, trying to find a figure of the shadow.

"I'm you, of course," It chuckled. "Well, I'm more of a protector if I shall say so myself."

"Protector?" I frowned, covering my bump. "Don't give me that bullshit..."

"Oh?" The figure frowned, "I protected the twins. You called me in desperation to save the twins. You should be grateful you didn't have a miscarriage."

The voice echoed in my ear, causing me to vividly recall the moment of excruciating pain and fear for my twins.

I slowly looked down at my hands, gasping as I thought I had envisioned them stained with blood.

"But there is no need to worry about them. They're safe..." The voice soothingly whispers, allowing me to ease my fears. "However, I just need one promise from you."

I sighed, turning my gaze away from the reflection.

"I don't want to hear it."

"Oh, I bet you would if it's the twins' life on the line."

I hesitated for a moment, my eyes shifting back with anger and horror.

But the shadow smiled back as if it was amused by my reaction.

"I just need you to accept me as their protector. I was only able to protect them last time because you begged me to. So, what do you say? Do we have a deal?"

I glanced down at my baby bump before slowly looking back at the shadow with a heavy sigh.

"You have a deal."

The shadow's smile grew larger as it began to climb out of the reflection, turning into a enormous shadow figure that towered over me.

"Finally... I'm free..." It looked back at me, smirking as its red eyes glowed, "Now, don't you worry about a thing. Whoever harms them will pay. Including those who get in our way..."

I gasped, sitting up from my bed in panic.

As I took in a slowed breath to calm down, I noticed I was back in bed. But why did I remember waking up? Was this all a dream?

Maybe pregnancy was just messing with Timeless and my visions...

But I shook the thoughts away when someone knocked on my door.

"Y/n, my love, are you finally awake?" Gojo hummed, creaking the door open.

"Satoru," I softly smiled as my husband approached the bedside. "Did you just get home?"

He shook his head, "We got home a while ago, but you were still asleep. Ah, and sorry we didn't pick up the calls. The students were having some trouble on a mission that I had to step in."

"I called you?"

Satoru nodded with a chuckle, "Of course, you did, silly. I suppose we took too long that you went back to bed."

"So it wasn't a dream..?" I frowned down at my hands, feeling a tingling sensation on my fingertips, only to seize when Satoru takes my hand in his.

But he was hesitant, slowly looking up at me with a bright smile.

"Are you hungry? We brought home some katsu and curry for you."

I nodded, smiling as he helped me climb out of bed and guided me down the stairs.

After Satoru prepped the food for me, I began eating while he sat in front to watch.

"Which reminds me, I'll plan the baby shower for you." Satoru calmly says as I stuffed my face with rice. "So my pretty wife can just relax and--"

"Can I even trust you without spoiling the gender yourself?" I rose a brow at him. "I'll just do. Besides, I--"

"No, no, you don't need to worry about a thing. How about you give the gender to the person and I'll set everything up?" Satoru smiled warmingly at me.

I let out a sigh of defeat, followed by a small smile, "Whatever you say..."

Satoru chuckled lightly before his smile slowly twisted into concern.

"But on the side note, have you been feeling all right, my love?"

"Mhm. Why?" I shoved another spoonful of curry into my mouth.

"Just making sure~" He smiled brightly, "I know how pregnancy can be difficult, but thank you for--"

"All right, no need to get all mushy, Satoru," I chuckled.

But he pouted in response, "What do you mean? I can't show you my affection?"

I shrugged, "But you have been awfully a lot more concerned than usual. Is something wrong?"

I rose a brow at him, seeing him blink away his thought before smiling back at me.

"Of course not, my love."

A couple days passed, and like usual, Satoru had set up another photo shoot of our pregnancy.

This time, I was 22 weeks pregnant, smiling in front of the camera with a grapefruit to represent our baby's size.

After a couple shots, I sat down on the couch, exhausted on how heavy my body feels while Satoru began to set up the house for our baby shower.

When suddenly the door burst opened, revealing Nobara and Itadori, along with Megumi behind them.

"We got the message! Is L/n sensei and the baby all right?!"

"We have first aid kits!"

The two frantically looked around, only to find me surprised by their arrival before Nobara glared at Gojo.

"Just in time for the decoration! Here, I need you two set up the living room while Megumi help me with these desserts." Gojo happily hands over a bag of decorations to them.

"What is the meaning of this?! I could've gone shopping!"

"Yeah, Satoru," I chuckled, struggling to get up. "What did you do for them to look this pale?"

With my husband's help, I urged the students into our kitchen for chamomile tea before Satoru could explain himself.
