It was right. I did create a curse...

Did that mean everyone knew from the start?

Either way, I thought that as long as I could control the Parasite, everything was going to be all right. But that control was slipping through my fingertips. And sooner or later, it'll go after my family.

It's all my fault...

My eyes shot open as I quickly sat up, relieved to be awake then being stuck in a nightmare.

"Y/n," My husband's voice caught my attention, "how are you feeling?"

This whole time, he was sitting right beside me, holding my hand until I had woken up.

"Honey? When did Nanami and Shoko leave? I didn't get to say goodbye."

But Satoru smiled softly, "They left a while ago. After you fell asleep, they didn't want to bother you and left. But Shoko did say to get your sleep in."

I chuckled softly, nodding at the advice.

"I'll keep that in mind."

With the next few days of being on bed rest, I was starting to feel better. My fever had gone down, my migraines went away, and I was starting to sleep more comfortably.

And with time ticking, Satoru and I had to prepare the nursing room before the twins were born.

While Satoru did all the heavy lifting, I went ahead to organize diapers and folded the clothes and towels.

Although it did take some persuading for my husband to let me help, he made sure my tasks were light and easy.

After I had finished settling the twins' stuff, I looked over my shoulder to find Satoru engrossed in building both cribs simultaneously.

"How's my handyman doing?"

Satoru chuckled, carefully placing his tools down before turning to face me with his arms snaking around me.

"I should be asking my wife that. Do you need to sit down?"

"I'm all right. But the cribs are looking pretty good," My eyes flickered from my husband to the cribs. "Especially the baby mobile."

"I hope it works," Satoru sighed and flashed a tired smile as he looked down at me. "If they won't sleep to the lullaby from it, I'm going to cry."

"Gojo Satoru," I have him a quirky brow, "are you afraid of a little hard work?"

My husband chuckled and pulled me into a long embrace, "Of course not. As long as I have you with me, everything will be fine."

When he pulled us apart, his hands remained on my shoulders while taking in my appearance.

"I'm sure of it..." I couldn't help but smile ruefully.

After Satoru and I finished up, we decided to end the day with some Chinese take-out and ate in bed while playing some movies in the background.

Moments like these were nostalgic, just like the good old days.

But this time, it felt like it was just the two of us and nothing else in the world mattered.

During our meal, Satoru decided to be goofy. He called for my attention, and there it was. Satoru crossed his eyes with chopsticks up his nostrils, and his tongue stuck out.

"You're so stupid!" I laughed, not realizing how hard I was laughing until I felt a gush come out. "Holy sh--" I slapped his arm, "Satoru! Oh my gosh! You made me tinkle myself!"

My husband laughed at my comment, removing the chopsticks from his nostrils.

"Really?! Heh. I still got it."

"Are you going to help me or what?" I rolled my eyes at him after placing my plate over a flat surface.

"Okay, okay, Mrs. Pee Pee Pants. Let's get you washed up."

"Don't call me that!"

Satoru didn't even try to hide his smile as he walked over to my side of the bed. Once the blanket was pulled away, he helped me up and we headed over to the shower. My husband continued to stay by my side, helping me wash up and slip into a new pair of pajamas.

As regards our bed, I was lucky enough that I did not get the bed wet, so we didn't need to change the bedsheets.

"Satoru, dear," I say while he climbs into his side of the bed after throwing the laundry in the washing machine.

"Yes, my love?"

"Since we have about 3 more months until the twins are born, don't you think we should start thinking about names?"

"You're right," He chuckled, scooting closer and wrapping an arm over my bump. "Would you like to start?"

I pondered for a moment but gestured his forward. "I want to hear what you have in mind first."

"Hmm..." Satoru looked up at the ceiling, thinking about it for a long moment until he lit up.

"What about Nori?"

"Satoru, you know that means seaweed, right?" I chuckled, shaking my head in disappointment.

"Right, sorry," Satoru removed his blindfold and rubbed his eye. "What about Rin and Yuna?"

"Nuh-uh. I want a name that means something. Something significant."

Satoru leaned forward to press a loving smile on my forehead before pulling back with a fond smile, "Whatever it is, I know it'll be perfect."

I gave him a stiff nod when it suddenly came to me.

"Actually... I like Nara and Daichi."

"That was fast," Satoru scoffs, followed by his cheeky smile. "Any specific reasonings?"

I smiled warmly down at my bump to caress it as the visions naturally came to me.

"You swore that throughout Heaven and Earth, you're the strongest! So, are you truly the strongest? Or was that just all for show, Gojo Satoru?" The younger, high school me stared him down with tears trickling down my cheeks.

Gojo slowly looked up at me, his expression remained blank and numb.

After pulling myself away from the vision, I let out a weak sigh.

"I've realized how much hard work it takes to succeed in this kind of world, like proving yourself as the strongest..." Our gazes met, and there was the vulnerability I saw in Satoru's eyes. "I want Nara to represent Heaven and Daichi as the Earth. In hopes that they work hard to prove to society that they will be great sorcerers."

Satoru nodded in my response and raised his hand to cup my cheek.

"Gojo Nara. Gojo Daichi." He gave me a rueful smile, "It has a nice ringtone to it."

I was glad that he liked it. And for the rest of the night, we stayed in each other's arms until the day broke.
