The bell rang, and every student was in there seats. Raided stepped up to the board and spelled two words. Mortal Kombat.
Everyone tilted there head.
"Raise your hand if you know what Mortal Kombat is?" Raiden asked.
One hand went up, "Our school?" Night Wolf asked.
"Ah, good guess. Our school does have to do with Mortal Kombat. In fact, our school lies on the very spot the Mortal Kombat tournament was located." Raiden explained. "But, we are not going to go in depth of the history about our school. That will be in a few years. We are going to try something new, that we gave not tried in the past. We will try to reenact the tournament."
He grabbed two outfits from his chair. "Everyone will be wearing something similar to what their ancestors wore when they were in the tournament. Scorpion, Sub-Zero. These are your outfits."
The boys ran up and grabbed their costumes.
"These two are for Noob and Smoke. These for Ermac and Kenshi. Johnny and Stryker, Liu Kang and Kung Lao, Jax and Rain, Kano and Kabal, Movado and Kobra, Tanya and Khameleon, Nitara and Skarlet, Kitana and Mileena, Jade and Sonya."
They all ran up and grabbed their costumes. Once they had all changed they were in the gym.
"Now. You may have realized we are dressed differently. We are dressed just like we looked like in the Mortal Kombat tournament." Sindel stated.
"Some of us, are evil in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Others are good or neutral." Shang Tsung added.
"There is mats everywhere incase we fall. We will also watch a video that has to do with Mortal Kombat. It is only two minutes long. The extended version you will all watch later on." Raiden said.
Everyone used the weapons they had when they were in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Of course it was all fake but cool to the kids.
"Where's my weapon?" Liu asked.
"You had fire. You used fire. You controlled fire pretty much." Raiden told him.
"Mr. Raiden?" Kitana asked.
"Yes?"
"Why do we have to wear this?" She asked pointing at there costumes.
"It was what you wore in the tournament. Just imagine it like a swim suit." He told her and she nodded.
Liu Kang hugged himself, he was cold because he wore no shirt. He rubbed his arms when suddenly his hands caught on fire. He screamed instantly.
"FIRE! FIRE! GET IT OFF ME! AAAHHHH!"
Sindel and Shang Tsung went to grab him.
"Liu! It's fine. Your not getting hurt." She said.
Liu gasped and looked down at his hands. "Cool!"
"Okay! Everyone listen up! The video had stopped working but, we decided to show you all how you or your ancestors looked like." Raiden announced and everyone ran to the room. A screen was set up. The kids sat down.
Raiden started the clip. If first started with the Mortal Kombat theme and then started of with Scorpion,
"Scorpion is the undead hell specter that seeks revenge against Sub-Zero to avenge his clan that he had supposedly murdered. He wears a normal yellow ninja suit with his scorpion based mask. He uses a kunai as his weapon, which is a spear, he also uses to twin swords."
Next was Liu Kang,
"Liu Kang is Earthrealms champion. He had defeated the eveil emperor Shao Kahn. His style represents the Shaolin, or White Lotus. He wears a red bandana and ninja slacks. With a belt that has a dragon. He controls fire and uses it as a weapon against foes."
(I didn't want to explain about anyone else so let's skip ahead!)
Everyone instantly turned to a neighbor and talked about the clip. Once it was quiet they returned the gym. Where they saw Shang Tsung sitting on a throne.
"Welcome! To my island, where you will face each other. First match will be, Noob and Sub-Zero!"
Both Noob and Sub stared at each other confused.
"Step forward! And be ready to fight one another!" Shang Tsung instructed.
They walked up and looked at each other.
"Fight!"
Hesitation slapped them both in the face and they stood in place, scared to move.
"What are you two doing? Fight!"
Noob tried to punch Sub but he ducked and shielded himself. Everyone gasped and only then did Sub realize he made an ice shield. Noob backed away scared to get near Sub, he bumped into some one...himself...but he was darker and slimy. He ran at Sub without Noob's command. Sub shrieked when the clone attempted to punch him. He ended up sticking his fist out hitting the clone unintentionally.
Noob yelped when Sub struck the clone. Then a portal appeared under Sub's feet sucking him down. He fell from the ceiling and onto the soft part of the mats. He stayed sitting, trembling and scared of standing. Noob's clone ran at him and he made another shield. But this time it was himself. He made a clone of himself.
The fight ended with them both tying. Next was Liu Kang and Kung Lao.
"Fight!" Shang Tsung yelled.
Liu looked at his hands. Then back at Lao. He fell to the ground and started to suck his thumb.
"Next!" Shang Tsung yelled, "Kitana and Mileena!"
They stared at each other. Both shy and scared. Mileena wanted to poke Kitana but instead shot out two sais. Kitana moved away just in time. She then tried to do something with her fans and when she did she lifted Mileena up. When she fell down, she fell on top of Kitana thus ending the fight.
"Kenshi and Ermac!"
"I can't see with this blindfold!" Kenshi yelled bumping into a wall and collapsing.
"Johnny and Stryker!"
Stryker pulled out his flashlight and went to turn it on and when it did it shined in his face so bright he dropped it and screamed.
"Sonya and Jade!"
"Wait where's Jade?"
"Jax and Kano!"
"These arms are too heavy!"
"Scorpion and Smoke!"
Scorpion teleported behind Smoke but ended up crashing into a wall.
"Skarlet and Khameleon!"
Skarlet slipped on her blood.
"Okay that ends today's fights. Tomorrow we will start again!" Shang Tsung yelled and went into the backroom.
