Ch.8 Who's your new best friend Bella?

BPOV

"Hey Bella" Jake greeted on the second day of school.

"Hi Jake"

"Do you want to come over today? It will be fun."

"Uh, let me ask mommy and daddy when I get home." His eyes looked hopeful, but I truly didn't want to go, I just wanted to spend time with Edward.

"Okay!" He said cheerfully. I had to say that Jake and I are going to be really good friends. I know I'm only five and so is Jake, but, I don't like him like that.

For today's lesson in school, we had to add up by two's. it wasn't hard at all, I've already learned this.

"Okay class, recess!" The teacher announced. Jake was at my side within two seconds. He was a little... Too wild. Not that that's bad, but it was annoying at times.

"Hi" he said blushing.

"Hi" I greeted back.

"So" he started.

"So" I repeated.

"Are we still best friends?"

"Uh, about that. Me and my brother are best friends. But we can still be close friends." I said, his face fell. "But, I still want to be your friend Jake" I said pleading.

"Bella"

"Yes?"

"We're both the same age, right? You're five, I hope" what was he getting to?

"Yeah, I'm five"

"Well, maybe we can be best friends. How old is your best friend?"

"Seventeen, I think." I honestly don't know, I only know that he hasn't looked any older than before.

"Then why can't we be best friends?" He said, being stubborn. At least I'm being his friend. Right?

"Because, me and Edward are best friends!" I shouted.

"Then we can't be friends anymore. If we aren't beat friends, then we can't be friends at all" he said. After he said that, my eyes started to tear up. Why was he doing this? I want to be his friend.

"Jake, why?"

"I already told you Isabella" did he just really call me Isabella?

"Why did you call me Isabella, Jacob?"

"Because, we aren't friends, so why should I call you by your nickname?"

"Stop being like this." I demanded.

"Like what?"

"Like that!" I yelled.

He just looked at me for a couple of minutes, then walked away.

The rest of recess, I had to stay strong. I didn't want to cry and look week, I just stood there.

"Bella?" I heard aunt Alice call for.

"Aunt Alice!" I yelled.

"What's wrong?" She questioned.

"Jacob won't even be my friend, because Edward and I are best friends" I explained to her. "He even called me by Isabella! I said my friends can call me Bella, then he said that we aren't friends, and walked away!"

"I'm sorry Bella! Do you want to go shopping to make it feel better?" Alice asked.

"No, I just want to see Edward, and we can get ice-cream" I said.

"Okay!" Aunt Alice exclaimed. She pulled me into her arms, and walked up to the desk.

"Hello" Mrs.RoseEddy said.

"Hi, my little sister isn't feeling good, so I'm just going to take her home, if that's okay." Aunt Alice said to my teacher. I was about to laugh, because I'm not sick! She is such a good liar.

"That's okay" then Aunt Alice walked out of the room, still holding me, and put me in the car.

"Oooooooo, you lied" I accused her.

"Yes I did, but that doesn't mean you do. That was because you wanted to see Edward, now, if you do that just to see him again, don't."

"Okay" I said a little disappointed.

When we got home, I went straight to Edward.

"What are you doing home so early?" Edward asked.

"I wanted to see you" I admitted, feeling my cheeks turning red.

"Okay, do you want some ice cream?" He asked.

"Yes!" I exclaimed. It's like he read my mind.

"Okay, let's go."

I smiled. This day couldn't get any better.

"Edward?" I said as we got in the car.

"Yes?"

"I had a weird dream last night" I said.

"Like what?" He seemed quite interested.

"Well, there was a really pretty girl, and she was in a wedding" I looked over at him driving. "And the guy in the suit, was you" I barely whispered. "So, what I'm getting to, is, are you getting married soon?"

"Of course not."

Oh thank God! I thought he was getting married to someone else... Not that I cared.
