Ch.19

BPOV.

*About three years later*

I have to deal with the fact that I'm in love with Edward. He's been there since birth and ever since then, we've been best friends. But I want to be more than friends.

Like... boyfriend and girlfriend. He makes me blush every time he kisses my cheek for any random occasion. Like when Alice brings me shopping. He kisses my cheek.

Well gosh darn! He makes me blush by just looking at him!

My birthday is in one week, and I really don't know what to expect. I'll be turning seventeen, and I already have a car. I got that last year for my sixteenth birthday. Edward taught me how to drive it... that was fun.

Maybe they will finally give me the gift of mortality. That would be the best gift.

The best gift ever. But then I would have to find my mate. Edward has told me all about that. And I'm scared for that. What if it isn't Edward?

I sighed and looked at my necklace I took off about three years ago. Thanks to that, I don't ever have to sleep. I've always hated sleeping anyways, I've never seen the point in sleeping. That just means that I have less time with Edward. It's pretty cool though. I have some fun times.

*One week later*

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" Everyone yelled at exactly midnight.

That kept on going for a while. Every time they'd say it, I'd just say "No, really... stop" then they would laugh and say it again.

Edward was saying it every 5 minutes and had a goofy grin on his face. I had to say, he looked pretty hot. Even for me. I hope he doesn't have anything planned. I don't want that. He's already gaven me a lot by just letting me live with his family. I could've been in an orphanage.

Thank God they adopted me.

"I have a surprise later" Edward whispered in my ear, giving me a ripling shiver going down my spine.

"Can't wait" I squealed. He laughed and my cheeks turned red. I told you he makes me blush way too often.

"Bella, I think you'll like this one" Alice said.

I nodded.

"Can't wait" I muttered. "You guys know I love surprises!" I added sarcasticly.

"Well, I really think you'll like this one" said Edward, once again.

That's when I heard a knock on the door. Who is that? We live in the middle of Alaska!

"Bella? I guess your surprise arrived early. But don't worry, I have another one." Edward smiled.

I walked up to the door to see...

"Jacob Black?!" I screamed. Jacob will notice something is up with the Cullen's...

"Bella! I haven't seen you in forever!" Jacob hugged me. He smelled like husky... but better. This is a really good birthday present. I missed Jacob, and sometimes, I would wonder if I'd ever see him again. Well, here he is...

"What's up?" He asked.

"Oh nothing, really. Just hanging out with my family..."

I heard him mutter something under his breath. I think it was... "filthy bloodsuckers"
