"'And she cried over nothing."

Beyond the walls, humanity exists: my father's hypothesis has been proven correct. We had discovered many things. There's a nation beyond the walls named 'Marley' that hates us for who knows what. Eren's father used to live beyond the walls. There are 9 intelligent Titans.
But one other thing stuck out to me.
One of the books mentioned briefly something about my great-great grandfather on my father's side being the previous holder of "The Warhammer Titan" before he entered the walls. It was taken off him by some Tybur family.
My family used to reside beyond the wall before they were killed off.
But I couldn't care less.
I was cooped up in my room. It was dark. I hadn't eaten at all, and my only source of human contact this past week was Hange or Sasha giving me food.
Other than that, nothing.
I threw Annie's necklace somewhere in a draw and swore to myself I'd never look at it again. I hated her.
I had spent all my time trying to figure out who to blame for my father's demise. I could only blame everyone. Even myself. But there were exceptions. People like Sasha, Hange, and even Floch were nothing but kind to me.
I tried my hardest to suppress my thoughts.
I hadn't shed a single tear nor display a single emotion since the day my father passed. My eyes suddenly felt heavy, so I closed them to spare them from the burden of fatigue.
I'm tired.
I'm tired of fighting for something we don't even understand.
I stood up from the floor. I was only in my sports bra and a pair of sweatpants.
What could anyone else do if I chose to leave the Scouts? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't contemplating it.
I sighed and sat myself on the edge of my bed. I pulled off my medical eyepatch, and replaced it with a fresh one. I threw the old one in a bin beside my desk.
I felt completely empty.
Life had become meaningless.
I had planned on killing that Beast Titan bitch. Zeke Jaeger's his name. Yes, he's Eren's fucking big brother. Next is that Cart Titan who supplied the fucker with the rocks he propelled into my father. But there's one other thing that had been added to the mix: Marley.
