Surprise and Strawberries

Daruizen's POV: Nodoka's mother's brithday was coming up and Nodoka was panicking. "How could I have forgotten it was my mom's birthday." Nodoka said.

I looked at her as she was going into a meltdown. I did not know what a birthday was, wait did byogens even have birthdays? 

"I still have not found a present for her." Nodoka whined. I really wanted to find I way to help her out but then again I did not know what Nodoka's mom liked. 

Nodoka got sick because she stressed herself out. I picked her up and tucked her in. I guess It's up to me to do something about this. 

First I needed to know what a birthday is. "It's the day that you were born." I read. "So to celebrate the day she was born." I read. "Presents are the things given to a person on the their birthday. "I think I will make a Strawberry cake." I said.

I filled in for all the shifts at the strawberry fields so I could grow and harvest enough strawberries for the cake. I also made a small field of Strawberries grow in the backyard. 

I could not think of anything better than to give Nodoka's mother strawberries. I wanted her to tend to them somewhere near home. 

That way when one goes out to tend to the fields one of us can tend to the strawberries here.

I think that this is a good enough gift for her. I felt a bit tired after all of that it was not easy. 

I was surprised that I managed to pull it off. I smiled a bit then thought. "Wait a second I could buy her a charm bracelet."

I grabbed some cash and went to a decent jewelry store. I brought the band then I went to buy the charms.

One was a red rose.  Another one was a strawberry, One was a heart, one was the wings of an angle and the last one was a rabbit to signify the year. 

I placed it in a jewelry box and put it in me and Nodoka's room. I just hope that she will like it. 

On the day of Nodoka's mom's birthday Nodoka opened her eyes and tried to get out of bed. I pushed her down and said. "You are not well enough to be out and about. 

"But my mom's birthday." She whimpered. "Don't worry I got everything taken care of." I soothed. I urged Nodoka to rest some more. 

"Daruizen good morning." Nodoka's mother said. 

"Good morning miss and happy birthday." I said presenting my gift to her. "Thank you Daruizen." She said. She opened the jewelry box and she said "Daruizen this is so pretty thank you." 

"You welcomed me into the family with open arms so thank you for giving me chance." Daurizen said. 

Nodoka's mom was especially happy when I showed her the strawberry cake I made. We saved a piece for Nodoka.

"Thank you Daruizen." She said again. "There is one more surprise waiting for you out back." I said as I led her out to the back yard.

I uncovered the small Strawberry field. "Now you can grow them at home." I said. 

"Thank you Daruizen I am happy to have you." She said. I smiled. Nodoka thanked me for helping her get her mother presents. 

"Well now it's time for me to take care of you." I said to Nodoka and that caused her to blush ten shades of red.

Nodoka is just so adorable.
