Crystal's P.O.V
I wake up dreading the day ahead of me. I slowly climb out of bed and head to the bathroom. "Hurry up sweetie you're going to be late!" My mom yelled from downstairs. I groan and change into an oversized black and white flannel and some ripped skinny jeans. I hurry and brush through my hair and run the straightener through a few times. I put some eyeliner and mascara then grab my bag and beanie and head downstairs. "Can I just skip today?" I beg as my mom makes me waffles. "No. I have to work on the house and I don't want you in my way." She says setting a plate in front of me. "But mom." I groan.
"But nothing. You're going to school and on your way home pick up your brother." I let out a frustrated groan and start eating. I finished and put on my converse while heading out the door.

I was in maths scribbling notes as the teacher was talking. I felt somebody's eyes on me. I glance around the room and see a blonde hair boy staring right at me. He noticed I was looking and looked away. His eyes were a beautiful blue. I got to admit he's really good looking. Like really good looking. I've only seen him once at a party sucking on some girls face. The bell snaps me out of my thoughts and I grab my books and head out of class. I go to my locker and see the blue eyed boy at the end of the hall. What's his name?
"Luke!" I hear someone yell and he looks at some guy with a bandana on. Right, that's his name. I look at the boy with a bandana I think his name is Ashton. I look away and put my books in my locker and walk to English.

I start to head out of school until Mr. Smith stops me. "Yes sir?" I turn facing him. "Remember tutoring session.." he says looking at his watch. Shit I forgot. "Right." I pull out my phone and message my mom that I have to stay after school.
He leads me to the library and I sit down at the table. 10 minutes later someone finally opened the doors. It was Luke.He huffs and sits down at the table and just stares at me. I shift uncomfortably in my seat and stare down at the table. "What should we start on first?" I ask looking up at the boy who was now on his phone. He shrugs and sighs "How about maths." He says not looking up from his phone. I nod and pull out the books.

"You're really good at this." I say while watching him solve more problems. "My moms a math teacher." He shrugs. "Then why are you failing?" I ask before I knew what I said.

"I don't like school so why put an effort into it?" He shrugs again. After math he checks his phone again and again. He starts tapping his pencil against the desk which was getting quite annoying. "Ugh when is this over?" He asks looking at his phone. "Do you have somewhere to be." I ask pretty irritated with him. "Actually yes. Somewhere better then this hell hole." He says looking at the clock.
I role my eyes a pull out my history book. "Well we have an hour so get comfortable."
He groans and starts working on history.

"Mom I'm home!" I say taking off my shoes. It was silent. Oh well. I run upstairs and put on some music, letting the bass vibrate my floor. I walk in the bathroom and throw my hair up in a messy bun and start washing my face. I begin to dry my face when I hear my bedroom door open and I assume it was my mom. "Sorry mom I'll turn it do-" I stopped talking when I saw Luke instead of my mom. I felt weirdly embarrassed. Why is he here? I walk over and unplug my phone from the stereo. "Great band." He says looking at my phone. At least he has a good taste in music "Yeah...So what are you doing here?"

"You left your book." He said handing me my maths book. "Thanks but how do you know where I live?" I ask sitting on my bed. "Well I live 2 houses down and I saw you." He says looking out the window.

"Well thanks again." I say giving him a smile. He returns a faint one and heads for the door, "See you tomorrow." He says before closing my door. I nod and heard him walk downstairs. I heard voices, I open my door and see my mom talking to Luke. I join them.

"You didn't tell me you were tutoring." She says gesturing to Luke. "Yeah we just started today. That's why I had to stay late" I shrug. "She left her book at the library so I came to return it I only live 2 houses down." He says looking at my mom. "Oh you must be Luke! Liz's son." She knew him before I did and I go to the same school as him. He nods and smiles. "How is she?" She asks setting her purse down. I felt bad that Luke had to stand there answering so many questions. "She's good. She's been working extra hard since my dad left." He shrugs. "That's good. How's Paul?"
He seemed to have winced at his name and hesitated to answer "Uh good." He says putting on a smile that was obviously fake. "That's good. Well I don't want to get you in trouble. It was nice talking to you." She finally stops talking. "You too ma'am." He walks out and shuts the door. "He's cute!" My mom says smacking my shoulder gently. "Yeah. How come I just met him?" I question. My mom shrugs "I don't know maybe if you actually get out of your room every once and awhile."
"But I love my room." I groan.

"I'm not saying you have to leave your room but don't question why you didn't know someone who's lived next to us for years. Because its your fault." She smiles. "Yeah yeah." I laugh and head upstairs. I lay on my bed and stick in my ear buds. All I was thinking about was Luke. What's up with that guy? And why is does he get all weird at the mention of Paul? Not my business.
