I really really really hated waiting to mate with my gorgeous mates. It was so hard to control myself when I would help them out during their sort of heat they went through. I have never wanted to have sex more than I did that past week. I know they wanted to wait so lust wasn't why we mated but fuck if it wasn't hard. I knew it was important to them to wait and I understood but if they knew how hard it was, I'm sure they would have said and done otherwise. The whole week with them was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better at that moment.

When we left the farm house, we promised we'd video chat or visit on the weekends as much as we could and they even came to my graduation and we spent a day together before they had to go back to school and I got placed at that hospital near the small town my home was in which I was so happy about. I may not be home a lot to enjoy it but just knowing my future with my mate's is closer than I could imagine is what pushes me through each day. Three more months and they will be college graduates and will move in, finally!

During my graduation party I spent time with my siblings and was excited to see Maya and Martin after a few years. Maya has gotten even more beautiful if possible and Martin had told me he's been talking to Jamieson more and even has a crush on him but I had to tell him Jamieson has a boyfriend.

"He's his boyfriend, not husband. Things change so who knows, maybe I'll end up with him one day." Was his reply and I couldn't say anything because he was right. You never know what the future holds.

Altan tried to talk to me and I was civil but we didn't have a heart to heart. I wasn't going to ruin my party with a conversation that could have turned bad so I gave him a brief summary of my life in college and the work I've done. I didn't want to hear his empty apologies or lame excuses yet again so I stopped it before that could happen. Daddy wasn't too pleased with it but he kept out of it and he knows I'll deal with Altan when I feel ready and not a moment sooner. Right now, I need to focus on getting through my residency and of course my gorgeous mate's. I can't wait till they graduate and can be closer to me.

My days start at four AM and end a full three days later if I'm lucky. Now that I'm in my third year of residency, I have more responsibility and I can if I'm chosen to assist in surgery with the attending heading it which is exciting. I love getting to know the patients the most, connecting with people is part of the job and it's honestly the easiest but also the hardest, emotionally. Anything can happen to a patient when in surgery so they tell us not to get attached to anyone but it's not that easy.

Kids are the hardest to not get attached to but kids, they are so brave and happy. I have no idea how they can be so brave but it amazes me nonetheless.

"Dr. Walker." I heard my name and looked to see who called me and smiled when I saw a fellow resident and good friend walking down the hall with two cups of coffee.

"Thanks Dr. Zimmerman, how's your day going?" I asked and took a drink of my coffee.

"Not too bad, kinda slow today actually. You?" He asked and I groaned, he just jinxed us.

"Dude you never say that word in a hospital…" I stopped talking when the siren for bad weather went off which could be either a tropical storm or a hurricane was spotted.

"All available personnel please report to the Emergency Department, all available personnel please report to the Emergency Department." We ran as fast as we could along with other doctors and nurses into the ED and Dr. Chi directed us where to go, myself along with Zimmerman went outside to wait on the ambulances that were on their way.

"Why are we out here now exactly? The storm hasn't hit yet so why are people needing help?" He asked and I sighed.

"Probably got hurt or into accidents on their way out of town so we help them, and get ready for anything storm related or not." I like the guy I do but he is an airhead at times I swear but he's a great doctor and a good friend.
