Chapter- 31

मेरे बीना तुझे भी ज़िंदगी से गिले होंगे,
हम यू ही तो ना मिले होंगे,
अब जो बात इस दिल की रख दी है,
कोई तो बात होगी जो हम यूं मिले होंगे।

"I already know Kabir!" Her words took him off guard.

"What? You already knew?" Neha exclaimed in surprise.

"Then Why didn't you tell me?" Kabir asked feeling dejected.

"Because I wasn't sure, Kabir! Even I didn't know before, the day I got suspicious was when we went to Yug's place"

"When I left to talk to Yug that day because he looked upset after our joke, I reached his study room where I found the diary, I was curious so I opened it, and What I found was a photo! Photograph of Shaan uncle and a lady"

"You must be thinking how can I doubt it by just a photo, but it wasn't Dipti Aunty! Someone else, and I was 110% sure that the lady wasn't Dipti Aunty because her features and all were different, I have seen Dipti aunty at her younger age, that shocked me but I didn't ask Yug because I was so surprised to ask anything!"

"Was She Bhai's.... NO! No! He is my real brother, My Mom is the only woman in my Dad's life!" Kabir shook his head in negative.

"I talked to Yug today when he refused to go in pooja tomorrow!" She told her.

"What do you mean?" Kabir asked but didn't know why his heart was telling him to just stop here only and don't ask anything further because Maybe he will not able to digest.

"I-I can't tell you!" He turned another side.

"Why Yug? You said you don't want to keep me unknown to anything in your life then why not this? Are you hiding something?" She looked at him in concern, of course, he was hiding something and she can tell that by just looking into his eyes.

He stood up from the bed his back facing her

"What do you want to know Mira? That I am not going because my Mom doesn't want my presence anywhere around the family" He said making Mira snap at him in a jerk.

"Stop talking nonsense Yug!" Mira said not believing his words.

"You think I will speak nonsense on such thing" he looked at her and the truth was visible in his eyes.

"I remember the day Mom told me I am not her son by blood, And she doesn't like it when my father gives attention to me more than Kabir because he is her son!" His heart clenched while saying these words, he never wanted to remember this.

"She told me that everyone gives me over attention and love which always makes Kabir feel left out but it's not true Mira, Dadi and Dad always loved us equally if you don't believe then ask Kabir" Mira becomes numb at her place, she never expected this.

"It's not like she hates me, she is just afraid for Kabir's future, she wants stability and happiness in his life and as a mother her concern is right but she forgot that I can never do something wrong to my Kabir, whatever it was but He is my baby brother, Never in dreams I can think to hurt him" he stopped for a moment.

"Because of Mom's insecurity, I left the home, Mom asked me to refuse to take the CEO's position so I denied and asked dad to give it to Kabir and truly I was happy for Kabir, I don't know why she thinks that I will snatch anything from him, giving him the position only made me happy, I don't visit them often because I feel like I am interrupting their privacy! The mansion never felt like home even though I spent my 20 years, I have my Loved ones kabir, dadi and dad's love but still, I always felt something was missing!"
