"You want red?" The man asked, seemingly dumbfounded by her choice of colour as she rolled her eyes in response, the man humming and shrugging, picking up the tin of paint "What about blue?"
"I like red" She defended, the man shrugging it off and picking up a large box, a display of a white chest of drawers with wicker baskets in the sections of the top three, the woman glanced at the price of £200 and immediately spoke up "Nope, come on"
"It's got heart shaped knobs" He insisted, the woman rolling her eyes and shaking her head, knowing she gets a just over that in two days work and can't afford to splurge out on a unit that would just hide half a dozen candles and countless broken pens "It's my treat, come on"
"You're not treating me, I'm not your girlfriend or your mum" She muttered, the man placing it upwards in the trolley and when she went to remove it he tugged her away, looking down at her "You're not spending money on me"
"Stop thinking about your pride and let me do this" He mumbled, the woman glaring in response before pulling her hands away, allowing him to push the trolley as he looked around at the objects lining the shelves, grasping onto the damp cover and some dust sheets as she followed quietly, once they reached the unit and bed section, filled with various items in boxes and on display, the woman humming softly and running her fingers along the boxes "You've got quite a lot of room left don't you"
"I guess" She muttered, the man looking at the bed and patting his hand down on the large leather divan, must be a king size and she stared at the bed before pressing her hand down on the mattress, seating herself down and sighing out "Feel the mattress"
"Nice?" He asked, the woman nodding and he smiled before seating himself down and humming out happily, watching as they got a few odd stared before he pushed himself up and gestured for her to get up "Come on Princess, I'll grab this and you bring the car around to the front so I'll get it in the back, mind going and doing that for me now Darling?"
"You think we're getting that unit in your little sports car?" She joked, the man snickering and shrugging, leaning down to leave a kiss on the crown of her head before gesturing for her to go "I want to be there when you pay"
"No Princess, go" He replied, the woman simply huffing out and glaring, grasping the car keys out of his hands and watching as his eyes stayed on her, she turned and made her way down the aisle, smiling happily at the till staff and speaking up.
"Just bringing the car to the front" She spoke with a smile, slipping out the doors and looking around the car park, vaguely remembering where he was parked and feeling nervous walking up to the expensive car, not willing to drive a car worth more than her house and everything inside it put together, clicking the button to unlock it once she reached the door, pulling it open and slipping inside, smelling the watermelon air freshener and glancing down at the ignition as she slipped the key inside and turned, listening to the engine roar to life.
Once she pulled out, driving along to the front she pulled to a stop, hand on the wheel and watched him walking out with the trolley, seeing just the paint and not the box for the unit, watching as he came around and opened the boot, the woman turning her head and humming in confusion "They're delivering a couple items, they said they would do it for ten quid, I grabbed something else"
"You don't have to" She muttered, the man rolling his eyes and placing them in the boot in the bags, knowing that paint is simply dangerous to drive with and shutting the boot, slipping around to the passengers and she instantly felt anxiety as he trusted her to drive the car, once he got inside she spoke nervously "No, you drive"
