Bradley and I had been dating for close to 8 years. We had a daughter, and she was the joy of my life and his. I was at work when I got a call from my closest friend Natasha. "Natasha, hey," I  said with a smile while I continued to type in my computer. She kept on talking and then said something that made me very angry. "HE DID WHAT!?" I yelled into my phone. I was a nurse, and it shocked everyone. "Hang on, ill be there in 30," I said, hanging up and going to my attending. "I need to go," I said, and he looked concerned. "Is there a reason  you need to leave?" He said. "Yeah, my boyfriend decided to take a 10,000-foot nose dive," I said, grabbing my stuff. "Alright, go," he said, and I nodded. I got in my car and started to drive to the navy base. I saw him on the tarmac doing push-ups. My brother ran up to me. "What are you doing here?" my brother asked me. "My idiot of a boyfriend had a nose dive competition," I said, continuing my walk. He saw me and walked over. "Listen, Amelia," he started. "Are you crazy?!" I yelled at him, fighting tears. "do you think your indestructible news flash, your not? You have a family to worry about," I said, letting the tears fall. "Any time you leave the house, I think, what if he doesn't come back? What would I have to say to my daughter," I said, looking into his eyes? "Amelia, look, I know what you fear, but you don't have to," he said, trying to grab my hand. "No, don't touch me," I said, pulling away "you broke my trust today. You don't have to worry about it. You have Sasha and me," I said, looking at him with tear-soaked checks. "That nose dive could have been your last, and I don't know what I would have told our daughter, who would have to grow up without her father," I said, and that's when I let him hold me. "I know. I'm sorry; I shouldn't have let my ego get the best of me," He said, holding me and kissing my head. "never do it again," I said. He nodded and we left the base got our daughter and had a movie night.
