Chapter 6

Josh's POV

I just couldn't stand watching Maya kiss Lucas. I thought she was going to pull back right away but it took her a while. That made me mad so I walked out. I heard Maya come after me, calling my name but I just ignored her. I reached out the apartment building door and headed out Maya still following me. I was crossing the street when I heard Maya say ow. I got worried so I turned around and she was sitting on the sidewalk holding her knee. I walked back to her.

"Are you okay Maya? What happened?" I asked concerned.

"Oh, nothing I just tripped over that stupid crack while I was chasing you." She was blaming it on me.

"Let me see it, it shouldn't be that bad." I said.

"No, this wouldn't of happened if you wouldn't of ignored me."

"Come on Maya, don't be so stubborn." She really was stubborn.

"Fine."

She uncovered her knee and her skin was peeled. It was bleeding a little bit. I had some bandages incase something like this happened, but her wound was too big.

"Come on Maya, I don't want to go back to Riley's apartment so let's go to mine and I'll clean you up there." I offered her my hand to help her stand up but she ignored it stood by herself. She winced at the pain of her knee.

"If you can't walk I can help you." I offered.

"No thanks, It doesn't hurt that much." She was obviously lying.

"Sorry Maya, but I'm not letting you walk with your injured knee." I picked her up over my shoulder.

She told me to out her down, but I didn't so she punched my back.

"Ow! Maya, you punch hard." I said rubbing my side where she had punched me.

"Next time don't lift me like that... Atleast give me a piggy back ride." She smiled at me. Usually I would've been mad but it's Maya, I couldn't stay mad her, espacially when she smiled at me.

"Okay." I said picking her up, giving her a piggy back ride. She had her arms wrapped around my neck. I jumped just to scared her and it did. She wrapped her arms around my chest now. I looked back at her and she was blushing. I could feel her touching my abs.

"You like that?" I smirked at her.

"Um, like what?" She asked.

"My abs, since you keep touching them."

"What? Pshhh, you wish. I just thought I was going to fall, that's all."

"Sure, okay. We here." I said.

"We're where?" She asked confused.

"At my apartment." I told her.

"Oh Ya, I forgot. Okay."

I took her to my apartment. When I opened the door so looked around amazed.

"Woah, this is your apartment? It's more like a suite. In a five star hotel."

"Weren't you paying attention? I am staying at a five star hotel suite. I just said apartment since I'm going to be staying here for a long time, and also if I tell people I'm staying at a suite, they'll want to come here a lot and make parties" I explained.
"Sit on the couch, I'll be back." I told her. I headed to the bathroom to get my first aid kit. When I went back to where Maya was suppose to be, she wasn't there. I started searching my suite for her.

"Amazing, it's so beautiful." I heard a voice come out of my studio.

"Maya? What are you doing here?" I saw her in my studio.

"Did you paint these?" She asked me studying the paintings on the wall.

"Uh, just a few." Great, now bad girl Maya hart is going to this I'm a softy who likes painting.

"I love them." She said. I was confused.

"Really? Well, um thanks." I said. "Let's head back to the couch so I can treat your wound." After i finished Maya went back to the studio. I let her see the paintings for a while. Actually a long time. When she ️finished she headed to the door thanking me for helping her.

"Leaving so fast? It's very late." I called after her. It was around 12am now.

"Well Ya, but my apartment is kinda far." She said.

"Don't worry, you can stay the night here if you want."

"Really?" She asked surprised.

"Ya, it's too late to let you walk home alone." I said worried. I mean, she's my nieces best friend, Riley would be devastated if something happens to her.

"Okay, where can I sleep?" She asked.

"In my room. I can sleep on the couch. It's the first door on the left." I said.

"Thanks, again" she said heading to my room.

"Goodnight Maya Hart." I said.

"Goodnight Josh Matthews." She said.
