Chapter 2

Hey so here's chapter two, sorry if it's not good, or doesn't make sense. I'm open to all criticism.

Maya's POV
So I was with Riley Farkle and Lucas on the subway. I was headed to Rileys house with her, I always go there every day after school, but this time it was weird. Lucas keeped on looking at me. A Lot.

"Why are you staring?" I abruptly asked him.

"What? Uh sorry, I was just thinking."

"Ya, okay... Sure you were." I whispered the last part.
The subways stopped and this is where Riley and I got off at.

"Hey Maya, so see you at 5 at my house." I heard Lucas say behind me.

"Ya okay cowboy." Riley and I we walking to her house when she suddenly stopped.

"Hey, Riley, why did you stop?"

"I forgot to tell you, tomorrow by grandparents are coming."

"Wait, why?" I asked.

"Maya, tomorrow's Christmas!"

"Oh, ya I forgot." I never really celebrated Christmas since my mom was gone a lot and my dad left when I was a baby. But tomorrow is got to be my real Christmas, and I'm really excited.

"And so is my uncle." Riley said with a little suspicion in her voice.

"Um, okay. Yay." I said sarcastically. Her dad has two brothers, one older brother and a younger brother, I bet their both as annoying, and boring. When we got to her house I got ready to go to Lucas's house. When I was ready I started walking there.

Lucas POV
Maya is suppose to be here in 5 minutes. I spent to last hour or so getting ready. Then I heard someone knock on the door.

"Hey cowboy" I saw Maya standing there and couldn't believe she was at my house.
"Aren't you gonna let me in?"

"Ya, come on in." I let her pass and told her my room was up the stairs first door to the left.

"Aren't you coming or what?"

"I'm just going to go get some snacks from the kitchen." I told her.
I got us drinks and popcorn and some candy.
"I'm back, missed me?" I teased her.

"Yes, I was so sad without you" she said sarcastically.

We started asking eachother our likes and hobbies. Turns out we have a lot in common. We finished in about 30 minutes.

"Well Cowboy, since we finished I'm gonna head home, well to Rileys house" she started walking downstairs and towards top he door.

"It's not that late, maybe you could just stay here and we could hangout?" I hoped she said yes.

"Ugh, okay, whatever. I don't have curfew, and even if I did I wouldn't care. So let's watch tv."

"Ok, let's go"

We went to my living room and she payed in the couch while I sat on the floor. There was nothing to watch so I felt awkward, and I could tell Maya was bored. This isn't how I want my crush to think I am all the time.

"Hey Maya, how about we play a game?"

"Depends, what game?" She asked curiously.

"Truth or dare"

Maya's POV
so I was still at Lucas's house, and we we going to play truth or dare.

"Okay cowboy, I go first. Truth or dare?" I asked

"Truth"

"I want you to tell me... Who's your crush?" I didn't know why but I wanted to know who he liked.

"Um... Well, she goes to our school." He sounded really nervous.

"Come on cowboy, don't be shy" I teased. Just as I was going to ask again my phone beeped. It was Riley.
"What a minute, I got a text from Riley." I told Licas and he just nodded looking relieved.

💄hey can come back now?
🎤why?
💄well my grandparents decided to show up early
🎤but they're your grandparents not mine
💄but they're gonna be here in a few minutes and you're like a granddaughter to them
🎤fine I'll be there in a few minutes
💄yay hurry, and my uncles gonna be here too😉
🎤I know you already told me and ok, I'm on my way.

I have no idea why Riley sent me a wink face. She can be so confusing sometimes.

"Well cowboy, I gotta go. You got lucky, but next time you won't be." I told home still remembering he still had to tell me his crush.

"Ok, bye ma'am" he said tilting his imaginary hat.

I then left his house and started heading to Rileys house, it wasn't that far.
