Chapter 8

This is going to start back from where I ended in the last chapter and I've also added a new character. Hope you enjoy.

Maya's POV

After a few minutes into the reunion Lucas and Farkle showed up. Lucas was still so worried about me that when he came in instead of going toward Elliot he came up to me and started asking if I was okay and trying to check my knee.

"I'm fine Lucas, it doesn't even hurt anymore so can you leave me alone?" I pushed him away from my knee.

"I just want to make sure you alright, it looked like it really hurt." He said worried.

"It did for a while but then Josh helped to make it feel better." I said looking over at Josh.

"What? How did he help it feel better?" He now sounded angry.

"He must gave me an ice pack, that's all." I said.

The door then opened and Grace, Josh's younger sister came in. She's a few inches taller than me, about Riley's height. She's also one of the prettiest girls in our grade and she's in the cheerleading team. Riley has always wanted to be a cheerleader, but The fact that she's Riley's aunt still doesn't mean Riley will be one. Grace has always had a crush on Lucas but he hasn't really paid attention to her, but right now he seems like he's giving her to much attention.

"Hey, Elliott! I've missed you so much, how did the trip go?" She goes up the Elliott and gives him a great big hug.

"Hey grace, it went great. Have you gotten taller?" He asked.

"Jeez, you sound like one of my uncles, which is weird considering the fact that I'm your aunt." She teased.

"You may be my aunt, by I'm still older, taller, mature, and better looking." He jokes giving her a smirk. The always compete on who looks better.

"Ha!" She laughs, "you wish! You wouldn't even look better than me on my bad hair day while  have a fever." She says then walks up to Lucas.

"Hey Lucas." She says touching his arm with her fingers. "How've you been? I haven't seen you much at school anymore."

"Just around, but maybe we'll start seeing each other more often." He smiles back at her not moving her arm away.

This makes me feel a little sick but then Topanga calls us for dinner. I said in between Elliott- he requested we sit next to each other- and Joshua. And for my luck, Lucas sits across from me next to Grace. They flirt with each other most of the time, but when they have to eat they steal quick glances at each other. The same thing with Elliott, Josh, and me, just without the flirting. When one of them starts talking to me the other interrupt with an excuse like "can you please pass the salt" or "I need a napkin" or "it's disrespectful to eat and speak at the same time". It was driving me crazy. At least dinner finished pretty quick.

"Maya, can you come with me and help me with a few things in my room?" Asks Riley.
"What, um okay?" I say more,like a question than like an answer.

Riley leads me to her room and then shuts the door behind her. She comes up with a serious look on her face.

"What Riley." I say.

"Is there anything going on between you and josh or Elliott?"

"What? No, why?" I questioned.

"Neither of them could stop talking to you or looking at you during dinner." She accuses.

"Elliott just came back and you know that we were also very close Riley, of course we were going to talk. And Josh was just curious about what we were talking about." Which wasn't a lie because Josh would ask us what we were talking about.

"Okay, but if there ever is first you have to tell me. This could cause trouble in it doesn't work out." She says strictly and leaves out the door.

I'm really going to need you guys to comment what you like and don't like so that I can continue the story.
