Chapter 12

Mirabella's POV

The second I got home I called Natalie. I needed girl advice. My brothers would have a stroke if I asked them to help me get ready for a date. "Girl, this better be important, I was getting ready to get some."
I laughed, "dude, who?"
"Uh, no one you would know." Hmmm. I don't know how much I believe that because weirdly my twin is also M.I.A.
"Okay, we'll circle back to that at a later date. However, I'm freaking out a little bit. Hades asked me on a date tomorrow and I need you to help me get ready. My brothers would have a hissy fit if I asked them to help me look good for a date."
I heard her laugh and then the phone was snatched. "Mira, you're doing what with who?"
Celly just told on himself. "Someone I don't know, huh?"
"Girl, mind yo business. I'll be there tomorrow, we're going out, bestie. Be ready at 8:00. We're going all out. Getting your hair done, our nails, a new outfit and we'll do your makeup at home. Now, I gotta go."
I scoffed, but wished her a goodbye. I decided to go talk to the boys and my dad to see if they'll watch Ana for Hades. I walked into the living room and seen the boys all in business mode. I shuffled my way to Enzo and propped myself in his lap. He chuckled and kissed my head.
"What do you want, Mira?" Enzo looked at me knowingly.
"Uh, would one of you be willing to watch Ana tomorrow evening around 7?" I gave him my best puppy dog eyes.
    "And why would we need to do that?" Dad spoke and I immediately braced myself.
    "Well, you see, Hades asked me out tonight. He said he wanted to take me on a date. So, we would need someone to watch the little miss. I would really like to go." I rushed out.
    Ares jaw dropped, "uh, we're just gonna let her go on a date?"
    "I am 18, Res. You can not tell me I cannot date."
    The brute glared at me, "I'm aware of your age, but you're not allowed to date until your 30."
    I scoffed, "Ares, I will hide your knifes and guns. Do not try me right now. I would really like to go out on this date. You all know Hades and he has never been any less than respectful to me. I've never been on a date before and I would like it to be with a good man. I get it, he's part of a mafia, but so are you guys. The best people in my life are mafia men. Please let me go."
Giving them all my best puppy dog eyes I heard them all sigh, "we got you baby girl. Have a good night out with Hades. We'll watch Ana for a couple of hours." I ran over to hug my dad. I was going on my first ever date with my older brothers' best friend.
I rushed up to my room to take a shower. I didn't wash my hair because apparently I'm getting it done tomorrow. I shaved everything, exfoliated my skin, and put a face mask on while I watched some YouTube videos. After taking my face mask off, I decided it was probably time for bed since Natalie wants to wake up early in the morning.
I woke up at 7, I grabbed a pair of white joggers and a black crop top long sleeve shirt. I grabbed my purse and decided to go wait down stairs for Nat to come over. I grabbed a pop tart and a glass of milk and ate it while playing on my phone. At 7:30 I got a text from Hades.

Hades: Hey, I just wanted to say good morning and that I'm excited for our date this evening. Enzo texted saying they'll watch Ana, he said you talked to them. So thank you for that. Have a good day, beautiful.

Me: Good morning. Yeah I talked to them last night. I'll see you this evening, I have a busy day ahead of me so I probably won't be able to talk too much today. So have a great day as well!

Hades: Okay, no problem. I will also be busy. However, if you need me, call me.

Natalie bursted through the door like she owned the place. I was giving her a glare. It was too early for the crazy, my family isn't even awake yet. Which is also weird, but it is Saturday so if I could I definitely would have slept in. "Girl, hush. They're all sleeping right now. I don't want them to wake up, they never take time off work. They deserve this extra sleep. Now, let's go."
    We headed out to Natalie's car, I still haven't got my license yet because of this boot. Only a few more days. At my last checkup, Marshall said the foot was looking good and I only had to wear it for a week. I was so pumped hearing it and then someone can teach me drive. When I was sliding into Natalie's passenger seat, I saw Hades get on his motorcycle and dear god he is so fine. Natalie pulled out and I connected to her music. I can't believe I ever did anything without music. We were screaming to the music until we got to her aunt's salon.
    "Nat, is that you, baby?" Her aunt, Angela, hollered.
    "Yeah, auntie. Thank you for doing this for my friend. She's never been to the salon. She deserves the whole experience." Natalie screamed back.
    Her aunt rolled out of the back room and she looked me up and down. "Oh my goodness, Natalie, she's adorable." I was blushing because I really did not know what was going on. "I'm thinking we give her a cut to her shoulders, cut them dead ends off. Would you like a different color? Maybe highlights? This brown is gorgeous though. However, sometimes changing the color is good for the soul. What would you like to do, Mirabella, was it?"
    I smiled and nodded my head. "Honestly, I like the shoulder length idea, but can we keep it a few inches longer. I know it's crazy long right now, it's almost to my knees. I also like my brown hair, but could we add like a money piece to frame my face and a few highlights throughout my hair. I want it to look natural, but I am obsessed with money pieces."
    "Alright, I love it. Let's get you in the chair. I'll go ahead and cut it first. So you want it a couple inches below your shoulder, got it. Nat, you want to go find the toner for her money pieces. Let's make it a bit more on the blonde side. You don't have to put it in anything, just pick out a few colors and we'll surprise her. I won't let her see herself until everything's done."
