Mirabella's POV

Did you miss me? I thought so.

The last two weeks has been hell. My dear mother was pretending that I was her pride and joy. I played the dutiful innocent daughter, while I imagined what it would feel like to watch her bleed out. This woman made my life a living hell and wanted me to thank her for it. However, I played right into her hands when I told her my daddy didn't want me and my brothers despised the girl who got their mother. She ate that shit up.
Thankfully, Jimmy kept his grimy hands to himself. They wanted to "keep me pure" for Hades. Hilarious, that man has used me as his personal cum rag. They just didn't know that. Now, Michael don't get me started on how I want to skin him alive. He fucked with Ang and no one fucks with my family, especially the most tender hearted. Michael is a jealous little crybaby bitch, who is about to see what it's like to fuck with the Italian Mafia.
I've been able to come out to the room and the American Mafia members' loyalty with theirselves and not with my mother. There is a room in the dungeon that no one is able to access and I want to know who is in there. During the raid, I will be rescuing them and I will die doing it. I've seen the food they bring down there and I refuse to let them suffer any longer at the hands of my bitch of a mother. I just wish I knew how to get to them. If I leave the room, I have a bodyguard with me and surprise, surprise it's Michael.
My informant, Jake, the man who hit on me the day I met Hades has been a godsend. He's technically a "soldier," but he's an uncover with the Italians. My family just doesn't know it, yet. He keeps me updated on the family, especially Marcello. God, I miss my family, but I need to feel my connection to Mar again. I've been biding my time for this war and the time is now.
I was sitting in my room when Michael slammed the door open. His eyes wide and I knew the fun was beginning, but I still had to pretend to little miss priss. I walked out of the room with an exaggerated look of terror and was practically shaking in my boots. I followed him and cursed him for the grip he had on my arm. He was going to use me as a human shield, like the little bitch he was. I looked up to make eye contact and my face almost slipped by the fucking smirk he had on his face. He was enjoying this. I was absolutely kicking his ass after this. I narrowed my eyes at him and he was holding back a chuckle.
The first gunshot rang out and I put my head down to smirk. Ah, yes, the sounds of my family. I was practically shaking with adrenaline. They were dumb enough to not put cameras in my room, I checked. I still exercised and kept in shape, because I wasn't going to be caught slacking. Ares and Apollo would never let it go if I was. I smiled at the thought of my family. It was game time.
Michael kept me pressed against him. He walked up to Jessalyn and Jimmy, ah the incompetent Dons. "Michael, how did they find us? You are the only one who leaves the compound."
I smirked to myself while listening to him babble out a response. "I don't know father." Ah, I thought so. Michael here is obsessed with his stepbrother. Hehe. I'd support it if he wasn't such a fucking useless fucker. I do wonder why I never saw him growing up. "I've only been out to see my mother." Oh. I bet he was closer with his mother. I bet they don't know Mikey is obsessed with the Underboss of the Italians.
"They found us, somehow." My mother was pacing. I was internally screaming happily at her pathetic self. She knows they are no where near prepared for a fight with the Italians.
"Why are they after us, Jessalyn. I thought you said they didn't care about the girl." Ah, yes, I am the girl. Jimmy is flipping his lid. Maybe they'll kill each other. That would be hysterical.
"Maybe they want the power of the contract with the Greek Don. He's a busy man and he cut the ties with the Italians because they didn't want to deal with her." Man, I did a damn good job with the plan, if I do say so myself.
There were gunshots everywhere and they were getting closer. I was shaking with anticipation. I wanted to see my family and I was going through Hades withdraws. I needed him and our girl, but first I needed to kill my mother.
The door blew open and I saw them. My heart was soaring. I missed them all so much. "Hello, dear wife. Oh, that's right, you ran off and married someone else and took my babygirl. You made her feel like we didn't want her, but you were the jealous bitch who couldn't give up the attention and the money you had access to." My dad stood tall and proud. He knew they won.
Mother drew her gun and Marcello shot her between the eyes. I locked eyes with him and I knew he needed that. I loved him, I wished I could run over there and hug him. I could also see in his eyes that he felt no remorse. He relished in the fact that he killed our mother; we really were heartless. Hades rushed Jimmy and knocked his gun out of his hand. I knew he held a deep rage towards the man. "Don't kill him, brother. He will be getting a small vacation to our basement. He deserves to suffer for ever touching her." Lorenzo was smirking down at him.
Good lord this was going easier than I thought. It's been like thirty minutes since we got here and mother was dead and Jimmy was knocked unconscious by my man. Hot as fuck. Although the look he gave me means I am in trouble. Oops.
"Angelo, I saved her. They were looking to kill her, but I convinced them to spare her. I know how much it would have hurt if you lost her again. I didn't want you to hurt." Michael was practically shaking with me in his arms. He eased up on his grip on me, making it seem more like he was holding me for comfort and not for protection. With that slip up, I slid out of his reach and kicked his leg in. He fell to the ground, but not before something in his leg snapped. He wailed and I smiled.
"Tsk. Tsk. Michael, I already know you're the rat. As someone who was supposed to be my best friend, you were always jealous to my family. I don't mind wanting to spend time with you, but when you freak cause you aren't getting the attention anymore, it makes you weak. I never stopped hanging out with you, we still worked the same shift at the job I gave you, we still had our ongoing movie night, and I never turned you away when you needed me. However, I'm glad you showed your true colors, because I get to kill the man who put my sister in harm's way all over again. Especially after you knew what happened to her the first time. You, Michael, are worthless." I had never seen this side of Ang and by the look of most people in the room, neither had they. My sweet brother was deathly and I now knew why he was the Underboss. I was so proud of him.
"Ang, you have to see it from my point of view. She ruined everything. It was supposed to be me and you. You were interested into getting an apartment with me and when she came home, you shot that shit down. You went from spending three days a week at my place to one. It wasn't fair having to watch you slip out my finger tips. I love you. I didn't want to lose you." This man was delusional. What the fuck?
"Aww, how sweet. I never loved you though. You were always just a friend to me. There was no longing for you. If you had loved me, you would had understood my need to get to reacquainted with my sister. If you had loved me, you wouldn't have been jealous of my family, you would have gotten to know them. If you had loved me, you would have never put your hands on my sister." He leaned down and whispered, "Alexei always did it for me, anyway." I laughed out loud when Alexei blushed. Hades gave me a look. Okay, damn, I'm sorry baby. I smiled sweetly.
Michael had tears falling down his face, I'd feel bad if he didn't try to kill me, so we move. Angelo slit his throat and smirked. This was over. It was entertaining how quickly it was finished. They were entirely unprepared.
"Hey, there is someone down in the dungeons. I'm not sure who they are, but I would like to go release them and help them out if we can." My family nodded and Jake led the way. I slid up to him, "thank you for this. I know you really stuck your neck out."
"You're like a little sister to me, Mira. I would do anything for anyone of you. You'd do the same for me." I nodded with my agreement. I'd do anything for my family and my friends.
Hades slung his arm around my waist and I giggled. I miss this man. He leaned down into my ear, "you, my sweet slut, are in so much goddamn trouble." I shivered. A throat cleared and my dad was giving us the stank eye. I locked eyes with Hades and giggled. I was so happy to be back with my family.
We finally made the way down to the dungeons. We shot the lock and I came in contact with two older people. "Grandma? Grandpa?"
I slung my eyes around to look at Marcello. Who were these people and why was he calling them our grandparents. "Is that? Is that my granddaughter?"
"Me?" I pointed myself and everyone laughed. Okay, they are so helpful.
"Gabriel, it is good to see you. I'm glad that you're all reunited." My dad smiled at them. Huh, interesting. I am so confused.
"It's good to see you. I am so sorry she did this to you. I would like to introduce you to your granddaughter, Mirabella." I smiled shyly, I was still so confused.
The woman ran to me and I knew my eyes were wide. These are obviously my maternal grandparents. How could a woman like my mother be born from these sweet people? "Is she dead?"
Marcello nodded. "I killed her."
"My sweet boy, come here. Are you okay?" He leaned into her touch. Huh, they were close with these people. I wonder why I hadn't met dad's parents.
"I'm good, Nana. She deserved it for what she put my twin through and for leaving us." Marcello said, matter-of-factly.
"Alright, let's get out of here. I want to take Jimmy back to the basement and have some fun." Dad said smirking. I think I knew who would kill him. I smiled at him.
We all loaded in the vehicles. I rode with Lorenzo, Angelo, Alexei, and Hades. We were all laughing in the car, it was like nothing ever happened. Although, I knew they were all going to rip me a new ass. I did what I had to do and I'd do it again. "Hey, Enz, why haven't I met dad's parents?"
"They're gone, baby. They missed you so much, but they passed away the year before we found you. They were older. They had dad at almost 40 years old. They were almost 90, but they were hoping we'd find you. I know they're smiling at us now." I smiled in return of his spiel. I hated not knowing them, but at least they loved me all the same.
We made it home in record time and snuck Jimmy down in the basement before Ana seen. I went to my room to take a shower and get ready to see my girl. I took a shower and threw on a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. I knew this would probably the last time I'd be in this room for a while, I was going to be moving in with Hades. I smiled at the thought. I also knew my ass was going to be red by the time we made it to his bed later. God, did I crave the man.
I went down to the living room to talk to the family. My grandparents were very nice. Apparently they lived down the road and they wanted to get home. I didn't blame them. Hades went to go grab Ana and Angelo was practically shaking in excitement, why? I had no idea.
Hades walked in with my babygirl and an older lady around my dad's age. "Bells, I miss you." I grabbed her in the biggest hug and kissed her cheek.
"I missed you more." I averted my gaze to the other lady. I extended my hand out, "I'm Mirabella. It's nice to meet you."
She smiled sweetly at me. "I'm Nadia Lynch. It's very nice to meet you." She grabbed dad in a hug and he kissed her cheek. He smiled at me, too. Oh, he knew. I narrowed my eyes at him. He smirked, then. Rude.
I felt my eye twitch. "What?"
"This is my girlfriend, Nadia."
Jesus, I complained about my dad's girlfriend to his face. Oh my god. "That sounds lovely." This is my own personal hell. This is what I get for flaunting Hades about, isn't it?
"I would like to apologize about the day I was so persistent. I wasn't aware you were his personal assistant. At this point, we weren't very far into the relationship, but I had information about your mother. I needed to relay it to him." She looked at me apologetically. Oh dear lord, she is the sweetest.
"Uh, that's okay. I was nervous that day anyway. It made me a little more irritable. My dad also didn't tell us he was seeing anyone so I was unaware." She nodded at me.
I was glad to be home. Regardless of the most awkward encounter I'd ever had. I smiled to myself. I loved my life.
"You ready to go baby?" Hades kissed my cheek.
"Always." This man and his daughter was my forever.
