"Enna panra!!", Kathir asked in an annoyed voice and that brought her back to reality. Mullai broke the hug and awkwardly moved away from him.
Mullai just stood there not knowing how to explain him about her hug.
He must be thinking I'm stupid now!
"Thimuru pudichavanu matum than nenachean. Loosum kuda pola", Kathir muttered under his breath, but it was still heard by her.
"Edhu? Naana?", Mullai asked crossing her arms in front of her chest and totally forgetting the fact she was worried about him all morning and hugged him not a moment ago.
"Idhula doubt veraya unaku.", Kathir grinned sarcastically and cocked his head to his side.
"Yennai enna sonna?", she asked again.
"Unna mathiri, un pinnadi solanumnu enaku avasiyam illa. Un moonja pathu solrean. Neum, un gangum than periyavanganu nenapu. Yaraiyum madhikaradhu kedaiyadhu. Apadi unnai yaravadhu edavadhu sonna, dham dhoomnu kathavendiyadhu. Idhu elam than nee..."
She stood there getting offended by every word he used.
" Ohhh idha marandutean paaru. Unakum, un friends ku matum than English theriyumnu nenaikaradhu. Enaku therinja English la solatuma? You are one spoilt brat", he said, and his words ticked her in the wrong place.
"Take that back! I warn you", she challenged him
"Illana enna panuva? ", he stood tall and asked her crossing his arms too around his chest as if mocking her.
"Inga paaru. I'm not spoilt nor I'm mean. You are. Nee than ipo enna asinga paduthitu iruka. That too in a public place", she shouted.
She noticed few people have already started to gather around them, owing to the noise she made.
"Inga irukaravangala ketta, yaru yara asinga padutharanganu theriyum", he said calmly.
"Fuck off", she yelled once more and made her way out of the library, passing by people who was staring at her with wide eyes, trying to comprehend the reason of her outburst.

In order to change her foul mood, her friends pulled her into a dance club later that evening. After few dances, she felt tired and sat along with Harsha, sipping her drink having no mood to dance anymore. No matter how much she diverted herself, she couldn't get her head out of Kathir. More the time passed, more angrier she was on him, rather than anything else. She can't come to terms about feeling emotional for a guy who was such a snob.
She was fuming inside when Mounika walked in.
"Let's go for a dance", she said and dragged Harsha along with her. All her friends were dancing and she was now sitting alone in a corner. Coming here, being with her friends and even drinking up didn't lift her mood. Getting frustrated that a guy was invading so much of her thought, she got up and walked to the bar.
Damn! I need to get drunk to get Kathir out of my head
She ordered another round of gin and tonic and sat watching people dancing in the club. She usually goes light on the drink, but today she fully intended to get drunk. As she was busy watching her friends dance, she noticed Dee come sit next to her.
He pulled the drink from her hand and passed her some water.
"Why Dee?", Mullai feigned anger
"Enough. You are light head. Third drink, adhuvum gin. No way. Podhum stop", he said sternly.
