Mullai couldn't even think straight . It seemed unreal. How can someone from her dream be standing in front of her? Maybe she was dreaming all this again? She sincerely hoped, because that would make more sense than what she was experiencing . Her hope was short lived when she heard the girl talk
"Unaku ivangala theriyuma?"
"Hmm en classmate than. Peru Mullai", Kathir responded
Mullai started feeling giddy and disoriented.
"Enga ungaluku thala edvadhu sudhudha?", the girl asked concerned.
Kathir noticed Mullai wobbling around and got worried if she would faint.
"Eii Mullai., Enna achu? Enna panudhu?", Kathir asked and held her hand to support her before she fell down.
Mullai's leg was close to giving away, so she didn't resist when Kathir made her sit in the stairs of the store.
He turned immediately to his sister "Nila, nee iva kudayey iruku. Naan poi thani vangitu varean. " and before she could respond he started almost running. Nila had to yell to gain his attention.
"Dei, thala sudhudo enamo. Soda illana vazhaipalamum serthu vangu"
"Seri. Kudayey iru. Enayayum poidadha", he gave instructions again before dashing off.
By now, Mullai was slowly regaining from her shock.
Kandipa, naan than thappa yosikarena irukum. This must be just a coincidence, she tried to reassure herself.
Slowly she tilted her head to see the girl with worried expression looking at her vividly.
"Edhuvum romba nerama sapidalaya? ", she asked in a concerned tone that instantly made Mullai like her.
"Illa. Suddena ipadi ayiduchu. I'm ok now", Mullai said and tried to get up.
"irunga irunga. Anney ipo vandudum. Edavadhu saptutu ponga. Thirumba thala suthida pogudhu", Nila said and sat next to her.
"Thanks. En peru Mullai", she said and extended her hand.
Nila giggled at the gesture and extended her hand "Enamo padathula business rivals intro kuduthukara mathiri kai elam nitarenga", she said as she shook her hand with Mullai. "En peru Venilla . Nenga Nila nu kupidalam. 11th padikarean"
"Oh nice. Unga veetla ethane peru?", Mullai asked being courteous
"Naanu, en anna aparam orey oru amma", Nila added dramatically.
Mullai remembered the mother's face from the dream. She immediately dismissed it away.
Thirumba adha pathi yosikadha. Adhu verum kanavu than
"College la enga anna yepadi? Jollya irukuma, illa orangutan mathiri than suthuma? College la friends nu perusa solli kettadhu illa. Adhan ketean", Nila started the conversation
She immediately turned sideways to check if her brother was in eyesight "Avan matum idha ketan , night soru poda matean. Naan ipadi ketenu solidadhenga avan kita"
Mullai looked at the little girl in front of her, who was sitting with a wide smile. The wrinkles in her forehead because of the worry was gone now and her face was replaced with a broad smile. Mullai could not help notice the contrast between the girl in her dream and the one sitting in front of her. The girl in the dream was void of any emotions or expression while the girl in front of her was bubbling with them.
