The Borderlands

Note: I love Travis and Katie they are so real. Also any of the characters that have been casted for the series is how i have imagined/described them in this.

The breeze was warm and fresh which almost made the four regret their decision to have their double date at the cinema, almost. It was Percy's idea, he'd booked tickets to see the new Puss in Boots film a couple weeks prior and they'd been waiting excitedly since. Leo had seen it two days before which resulted in Nico threatening him if he spoke a word about what happened. He hasn't spoken to the four since, just in case, especially after Annabeth had threatened him too.

"The film starts in half an hour," Annabeth said, taking the tickets out of her pocket. She'd been tasked in looking after them, stating she didn't trust the others to not lose them. "That gives us time to get any food we might want, find our seats and go to the toilet if need be." She gave Percy a pointed look.

"Oh c'mon that was one time!" he complained, leaning his arm on her shoulder.

Annabeth rolled her eyes and explained to a confused looking Nico and Will. "The last time we came to the cinema, Percy insisted he didn't need the toilet until we got two minutes in. He missed the start of the movie, we were watching The Death Cure."

Will winced, "Thats tragic. The opening to that film is the best."

"It won't happen this time i swear it." He smiled.

"Whatever you say, seaweed brain." Annabeth smiled and led them in the direction of the queue to get snacks.

Nico gestured for the couple to go in front. "You two go ahead i'm still deciding. I can't pick between the blue slushie or the red one."

"Nico, i'm disappointed in you."

"I don't care."

"My mum would be too." Percy shrugged and tilted his chin out slightly as he made his way in front.

"Leave Sally out of this." Nico crossed his arms and glared at the blonde boy in front, Will laughed from beside him and pressed a kiss to the top of Nico's head.

Percy, of course, got a blue slushie and a large sweet and salty popcorn to share with Annabeth while she also got a blue slushie. Will ordered for him and Nico, also getting a large popcorn to share, this one being only sweet. He refused to get a slushie, saying it was way too unhealthy and just got a diet coke instead, it was a date after all, he could make a small exception. Will glanced at his pouting boyfriend to ask what he'd like which just earned a small sigh before he mumbled, "Blue slushie, please."

The four got their tickets checked and made their way into Screen 2 and to their seats nearer the back, the room they were in was practically full to the brim with people. As the trailers started to play, Annabeth let out a content sigh and leant her head on her boyfriend's shoulder. Nico and Will were whispering beside them either talking about how awful the film looked or noting the title down so they could watch it when it released.

"Hey, Wise girl?" Percy whispered, his voice wavering slightly.

Annabeth removed her head slowly from his shoulder as if she could already sense what he was going to say next. "Yes, Percy?"

"I gotta go to the toilet.. i'll be back before it starts i promise, you have my word." He kissed her forehead and stood.

"I'll go too," Nico said, standing as well.

Will rolled his eyes, "Seriously, you as well?"

"I didn't need it 5 minutes ago!" Nico whisper-yelled. "Won't be long." He took a quick sip from his slushie, pecked Will on the lips and followed Percy down the stairs and into the bathroom.
