Sophie and Fitz lived happily together, and they married a short while after Fitz proposed to Sophie. Fitz ignored the fact that Sophie was Unmatchable, and Sophie fully forgave Fitz for killing Keefe. Sophie still felt a tiny ache in her heart whenever she thought about Keefe, but she knew that, wherever he was right now, Keefe would want her to have a good life even without him. Sophie and Fitz ended up having two children, one named Keefe and the other named Calla. Sophie and Fitz worked together to change the law of the Council, and they managed to stop Matchmaking. In addition to that, they made a law that Councillors were able to be in romantic relationships. Sophie became a popular Councillor in place of Oralie, (who had been downvoted), and Fitz became a successful Emissary. Sophie eventually found out that her father was Elwin, but she forgave him quickly. Sophie spent most of her time reuniting with her father, and she and her new family lived together happily ever after.
