She walked down the hall and turned left to be met with other staff members from the company sat around a very stereotypical, round office table. She sat down on a side of the table that had the fewest amount of people and made sure to choose a seat with both sides of her unoccupied. Soon she was later met with a member of the opposing dog sanctuary sat to her left and the right still left untouched. Whilst bending down below the table to grab her paperwork from her bag, she felt a presence wonder behind her. Without thinking first she turned around to be met with Ace. A little smirk formed on his face as he looked at her from his position directly above her and let his eyes wonder a fair while before turning back to the rest of socialisation. He briefly looked towards the chair that was next to Amy. She took this as an opportunity to move slightly left to give the man more space to sit himself down. Ace however, looked towards the chair opposite her and walked around the table to sit there, greeting people on his walk around. Amy couldn't help but feel belittled by his actions but couldn't show her true feelings as she didn't want to let him feel above her in any sense.
The meeting had gone swimmingly and Amy had found out that the dog shelter was doing significantly than the cat one, it made her feel somewhat embarrassed and saddened. Who in their great minds prefers dogs over cats? She didn't bother to worry herself about this issue much as she got out of her seat and walked towards the same doors she had walked thought a couple of hours ago. She had reached the entrance of the office block when she remembered that she had forgot her bag and sighed to herself, dragging herself through the corridors once again.
"Looking for me?" A voice beside the door said.
"In your dreams," she turned around to see ace leaning against the pale-coloured wall and angling his body away from hers.
"Well what are you looking for?" He asked sounding genuinely curious.
"My bag, I left it in there." She admits looking the man in the eyes.
A smirk grew across his face and he raised his arm, "What this?" He had rolled his shirt sleeves up and Amy could now see the veins that travelled up them to god knows where.
"So you're a thief now?" Amy asked snatching her bag from his hand and getting reading to walk away.
"Where's my thankyou?"
"Here!" She smiled and went to grab something from her bag to then pull out her middle finger.
"Point the ring one next," he said and Amy scoffed at his words.
"I only marry men worth my time."
"If im not worth your time, why are you spending it all on me?" He asks turning his body towards her and getting off of the wall. Amy turned away and went to walk back.
"Are you on your period or something?" Ace asks and Amy couldn't help but be furious with his choice of words. "Just because im mad doesn't mean I'm on my period!" She stopped and looked down to his name tag then looking back up at his eyes. "Ace Atkins,"
He smiled at heading his name come out of her mouth and brushed his shoulder with hers whilst walking past her.
