A breeze came into the Court and I heard something echoing in the room.

I scanned around to see who called me and didn't see anyone facing me.

I kept looking around, realising Lucilla hasn't arrived.

"Merlin, what are you doing bobbing your head about?" Arthur mentioned my name.

I walked up to Gwen and asked where Lucilla is.

She looked around before replying "She said she was going to sort the flowers out that she picked out for me but it has been a while." she stood up, worry appears across her face as well as Gaius'.

Another breeze comes in and this time, I can hear something very faintly "Help her. Hurry!"

I placed my hand on Gwen's shoulder and she knows what I'm about to ask. "She was in my Chambers the last time I saw her."

I ignored Arthur who called out my name as I ran out.

As I ran through the hallway, the uneasy feeling in my gut is impossible to ignore. My heart beats hard against my chest.

I stopped to turn left before I reached to the chambers and pushed the doors wide open to see Lucilla, on the floor, with a puddle of red liquid next to her, red roses scattered beside her, petals fallen out.

I ran and bent down to to see Sigrid rubbing her cheeks, trying to wake her up.

"What happened?"

She hid in the space between Lucilla's head and the floor, toning her glowing down so she doesn't get caught. "She's still bleeding from the woods!"

I grabbed the pixie lightly, without hurting her and placed her in my red bandana. "Calm down. She will be OK now stay hidden till I say so." and she obeyed, tucking herself in to hide from the world.

I took my jacket off and placed over her wound, crying out for Gaius and Arthur to which they hurried to the doors.

Shocked to what they are seeing. "She didn't tell us she got hit. She kept quiet." I explained, trying to stay strong.

Arthur came to my side and helped me pick her up. I motioned him to put her on my back. "I'll carry her, Merlin."

"No, let me, you need help me to get her to her room."

"I'll go with Gaius to get the stuff. Go." Gwen pushed everyone out, and we ran to our Chambers.

As we approached to her Chambers and parted ways, Arthur helped me get Lucilla down onto her bed and I checked her wound under my jacket.

Still going heavily.

I pressed it. Shaking.

Please Lucilla.

Please be OK.

I need you.

Arthur pushed my hands out of the way, told me to help the others and I ran, picked up a bucket, used my spell to fill it with water and returned to the bedroom where Arthur is holding the jacket in place, Gwen stroking her head, Gaius getting the needle and thread out.

I placed the bucket and held her hand, stroking her head as Gwen helps Gaius by cleaning the wound with wet cloth from the bucket I just put down, each time the cloth gets soaked with red liquid.

"Arthur, take him out. Merlin, I will stay and help Gaius."

"No, I can't leave her, Gwen. I have to stay."

"Come on Merlin, let's leave them. Lucilla's in safe hands."

"I can't! I want to stay by her. I'm not leaving her Gwen! I love her!"

Arthur dragged me out into the hallway, wrapping me in his arms as I wailed on his shoulder as we collapsed onto the ground.

He puts his hand on the back of my head, acting like a big brother protecting me from darkness.

~~~
After what felt like half a day, Gaius finally comes out, placed his hand on my shoulder.
Oh Lord.
Please.
No.
I stood up, praying he isn't going to give me the news I dread to hear.
"She's OK now. Lost a lot of blood but after a few days rest, she should wake up."
I hugged my fatherly mentor before returning to her side, holding her hand, stroking her head.
~~~

Two days has gone by and I knocked on the door, informing my presence before I entered.

Gwen closes her book and stood up to greet me.

"She still hasn't woken up but there is more colour in her now." she whispered, looking at her best friend.

She patted my shoulder before she left the room.

I sat down beside Lucilla, held her hand as I have done since Gaius stitched her wound.

"Please Lucilla, wake up. It's not the same without you. The knights misses you. Arthur and Gwen misses you. Gaius and Squeaks misses you."

I took a deep breath before I stood up and kissed her forehead.

"I miss you too." before returning to my seat and rested my head next to her arm, falling asleep.
