I opened my eyes to see Merlin close to my face.

I examined his face. Long black lashes. Very faint freckles scattered across his face. His lips so pink.

I touched his lips, stroking from end to the other.

I kissed the tip of his nose before getting out of my bed, sucking in breaths from each movement.

I picked up a shawl and walked out into the hallway.

I balanced myself before I heard something draw nearer behind me.

I snuck around to see him leaning against the wall.

"Did you really think you're going there on your own?"

"I was but I'm guessing you're coming with me now."

"Yep." he bounced on the wall before putting his arms around my waist, being careful with where the wound is, helping me to continue my journey.

As we got to the stables, he gently lifted me up, wrapped the reins around his wrist and led the horse outside before jumping on behind me.

He rested his head on my shoulder and I helped the horse lead the usual directions.

~~~
As I run my fingers through Merlin's hair, he looks up to my face, placing a curved index finger under my chin and his thumb stroking on the chin.
Thoughts of us kissing got me flustering and I looked up to see the sun rising.
Merlin got up, rested one of his arms on one of his knee, gazing me lovingly, before looking at the same direction.
As the town begins to wake up to the sun, I put my hand under his chin, pulled his face to me and kissed him, breathing deeply.
After the nature has finished with the intro theme of the day, Merlin helped me up on the ground, steadying me as I try to get used to my legs' weakness.
We ended up laughing at our clumsiness which made me bend over in pain, laughing more.
Merlin, like earlier, helped me up on the horse gently and ride us back to the grounds of the kingdom.
As we entered, I spot a figure with a worn out dark grey cloak, limping towards the doors of the castle.
"Excuse me, are you OK?" I called out and the figure stopped.
Merlin walked towards the figure slowly as I held on to my horse.
"If it's Gaius you need, I'm his assistant, and I can try and help you."
The figure shook their head.
"It's Pendragon. Need to warn him." a female raspy voice replied.
Why do I recognise the voice?
"Warn him what? You can trust us, we are close with the King and Queen." Merlin reached out to her as she turned around to face him.
"I'm sorry, my dear child. I'm sure it's not time yet." she glanced at me.
Her eyes.
I've seen them somewhere.
As Arthur opened the door, she turned into crows, flying away.
"You both OK?" he checked as his arms lowered down from shielding his face, leering at the sky where the crows are.
~~~

As Gaius changed the dressings of the wound, I try to figure out where I recognise the woman from.

"Lucilla, are you OK?" Sigrid asked as she helps pass Gaius the cottons.

I snapped back into present and smiled. "Yeah, just tired."

"Well, that would be because you got out of bed, after I told you to rest." Gaius told me off, shaking his index finger at me.

"I know. I'm sorry. But I have been sleeping for nearly three days. I wanted to get out and move my body before I turn into a log." Sigrid giggles at my response and Gaius tries so hard not to smile.

Knock. Knock.

"Please wait!" Gaius called out to the person on the other side of the door.

As he finished pining the bandages, I rolled the shirt Merlin lent to me long time ago back down and Sigrid went to her usual hiding spot.

"You can come in." and Elyan enters.

"We heard and we wanted to see you."

We?

The rest of the knights approaches from behind, carrying small bunches of flowers.

"Aw, you all didn't have to so that." I put both hands on my chest, thanking each of them for their kind gifts.

More knocking and Gwaine opens the door with Gwen standing there, surprised to see the room full of knights and flowers.

She clapped her hands, "Come on men, off to training. She needs her rest!" and they bowed before leaving, waving me as they exit.

~~~
As I woke up, I see Gwen is cross-stitching, Merlin knocks before I call him in.
He leaned on the doorframe, watching. "I can never understand why women like doing this."
I glimpsed at Gwen, her doe eyes shooting daggers at him. "It's calming." Gwen replied, continuing.
I looked at Merlin, who wants the Queen out of the room but terrified to say so.
"Gwen, there is something that we need to go through for Gaius."
She checked both of us, knowing very well that I'm lying but still got up and walked out.
As she closed the door, Merlin climbed on my bed, crawling over me and I giggled as I cupped his face before we started kissing.
As we started kissing, heat rises inside.
My heart does the usual fast beating.
I breathed in the smell of hay, cotton, meadow on Merlin.
He kissed on my lip, then my cheek, then my jaw, then my neck. I tried so hard not to moan as his soft lips marks my body as his.
The pain has been taken over by lust and I forget all about it.
As he bites gently onto my collarbone, I dug my nails in his back, through his jacket and shirt.
I dragged my hand down and went up under his shirt to feel his hairless chest, wrapping my arms around his torso, kissing his neck.
I took a soft bite to the ear and he groaned, trying to be silent.
We parted ways and looked at each other, smiling.
He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and I pulled him closer, lusting for more.
We continued until we heard a knock on the door and Merlin moaned, dropping his head in defeat. "If it's Arthur, I will curse him donkey ears and call him a Royal Ass." he mumbled as he got off my bed.
"You can enter."
I called out, trying to keep a straight face as Arthur walks in.
I gave Merlin a look, making sure he doesn't do the curse. Although I would love to see what the King of Camelot would look like with a pair of donkey ears.
Merlin said it happened once before, he loved every moment of it.
"I apologise if I interrupted something. We're going to do more training and we need Merlin. If we're going to experience what happened, we need to be more prepared and fight with more power." Merlin, huffed as usual when he is being used as bait again and I stifled a laugh.
