Rory has been trying to ease the tension in the Newsroom. Paris has made them wear hats with numbers on top because she can't remember everyone's name.
She has practically been writing all the stories because she is editing their entire assignment. Rory went to the pub the other night, and they were all in there having a special meeting but didn't inform Rory because she is friends with Paris.
She comes home upset because everyone excludes her because of her and Paris being roommates and friends. Even tho she is just as fed up as they are.
So, they are talking about ousting Paris. Rory asks them if she can speak to Paris first and see if she can get her to calm down about how she is treating everyone.
So, Rory gets to school and asks Paris to step outside. She explains that everyone is tired of how she is acting, and she needs to calm down.
Paris, being Paris, walks back into the newsroom and lets them all know that Rory had talked to her and it wasn't going to change they needed to do their job better.
So, now no one will speak to her. They all act like she is on Paris' side when she most certainly is not. So, I decided I was going to show up at the newsroom and make it clear that she was also tired of it.
I arrive on campus and walk to the building where the newsroom is. I see Tristan standing outside a classroom, talking on the phone. I walk over and hear his part of the conversation.
"No, you need to leave her alone, man. You straight up lied to me about why you got your ass beat. I told you how I knew, Rory."
"No, you will not bother her anymore. Oh, my goodness, yes, dude, we were in love with the same girl, but guess what that girl is in love with someone else."
"I saw her with him, and she is in love with Robert. Neither you showing up nor me running into her is going to change that. Look, I have been in love with her for a long time, and that is fine. I will be in love with her from afar, but unlike you, I'm not stupid. I would rather be friends with her than not be around her."
"I am warning you right now if you show up, I will kick your ass. You will not bother her, I will always choose Rory, and I will always protect her family or not doesn't bother me."
"Yea, well, get over it that your Ace is my Mary, but she is Robert's fiance,' and she will stay that as long as she chooses. Whatever, Logan, stay away from campus. I will stay in the background to ensure she is safe."
"No, fuck you." He hung up his phone and blew out an agitated breath. He turned around and saw Robert.
"How much did you hear?"
"Enough. So, you are in love with, Rory? Thank you for telling him to leave her alone. Do I need to worry about you trying to take her away from me?"
"Um, yes, but I respect, Rory and as long as she is happy with you, I will be happy for her. Her happiness is all that matters. I will always make sure she is safe. Never, Robert, we are friends, and that is all we will ever be. She is in love with you, you can't take something that isn't available."
"Thank you, Tristan seriously, thank you. So, what is Logan saying now?"
"Oh, Rory is his and only his. He was talking about coming back and taking her to London with him. Saying she will be so happy there. He bought them a flat and already has a position for her at HPG."
"Did he tell you when he plans on trying to do this?"
"Just, after she graduates is when he is planning on showing up."
"Okay, well, thanks for everything like I said and for telling me his plans. I will ensure she isn't alone at any time to make sure he doesn't try to kidnap her. Tristan, can you do me a favor?"
