I don't know what that was about, but I'm bound to find out.

I've never seen Ivy cry before, so I hope my brother wasn't the cause of her tears.

Before I went to check on my brother I walked to the window by the door and peeked out.

Ivys' car was in plain view of the window, so I hope she didn't see me.

I watched her have a full-blown meltdown.

She was screaming and beating on the wheel. I sighed walking away from the window.

I didn't want to see her like that.

I made my way to the kitchen to get a bottle of water.

I changed my mind last minute and decided that I wanted to have a glass of ice water.

I opened the cabinet immediately noticing a glass was missing.

I grabbed a chair to get to the very top cabinet.

I opened it and there revealed my worst fear.

Seeing how distraught Ivy was as soon as I saw the missing cup I knew.

I should've known Everett was going to start drinking again.

I told my dad to get this shit out of this house.

In my frustration, I threw my glass cup across the room and cursed "shit !" I ran upstairs to my brothers' door.

I tried to wiggle the knob but it was locked.

I sighed realizing he rarely locked his door. I began pounding as hard as I could on the door.

"Everett Jamal sullace open this goddamn door," I screamed while continuing to bang hopefully he wasn't passed out.

I heard muffled footsteps followed by groaning. I stopped banging and waited patiently for him to open the door.

After what seemed like forever he finally made it to the door.

I pushed passed him without even waiting for him to move. "Where is it Everett? Where the hell is it?"

I didn't even realize I was screaming until I saw the look on his face.

Realizing that I wasn't going to get anywhere with him I began searching the room myself.

He just stood there in his drunken mood.

Everett wasn't a big guy so it didn't take much for him to get there, and that was the problem.

He promised not to drink anymore after what happened last year.

I didn't know all the details, but for some reason, Ivy was in the hospital.

I don't ask any questions and neither did my brother.

She was in the hospital for at least six weeks and it was really taking a toll on my brother.

Back then we were just starting to get super close, so he still hasn't told me the full story.

One day his homeboys were over here trying to ease his mind and take his mind off Ivy for one day.

He hasn't gone and visited her that day because her whole family had come down and he didn't want to overstep.
