Daichi's avatar, Raz, grabbed the Cheytac Intervention from the wall behind him and checked the magazine and chamber. He brought the gun to the table and rested the gun on its bipod and stock monopod.

"30,000 creds says that I can beat you again," Daichi offered while chambering the first round.

A sniper with turquoise hair and eyes settled into the next firing lane. She picked up her sniper named Hecate. Hecate was based on the PGM Ultima Ratio II. An anti-materiel rifle utilizing the .50 BMG cartridge. She grabbed the carry handle and brought the gun into her arms.

"Yeah, I'll take that bet," Sinon accepted.

The duo walked into the large firing range and seated themselves next to each other. Raz grabbed the tablet from the ground and activated the shooting gallery. A pair of swords appeared in the sky before a countdown started. A virtual environment of plains and woods appeared in front of the two players. At various landmarks were range numbers.

"Player 1 please step up to the firing position," the PA system spoke.

Sinon stepped forward and laid down on the shooter's mat. Hecate rested on her bipod. When the game started, Sinon worked through the targets from closest to farthest. Although she missed a few shots, she managed to gain 30 points within the allotted time. Raz stepped up to the mat and elected to shoot from a sitting position with the rifle resting on his arm and knee. When the alarm sounded, Raz shot the targets from left to right. His firing position was less stable than Sinon's, resulting in more misses. Despite that, his fire rate was higher than Sinon's. It was also easier and faster to change targets from his sitting position than Sinon's prone position. After the 3 minutes, the game ended with Raz finishing ten points ahead of Sinon. Sinon groaned and forked over the 30,000 credits. Raz ran the credits through his fingers before adding them to his inventory.

"You got Kato's luck rubbing off you again," Sinon groaned while punching Raz in the shoulder lightly.

"I guess it is," Raz responded while picking up the sniper rifle. He returned it to the gun wall when he got a call from his boss.

"Hey, I have to take this call," Daichi said. "Are we still good for that meetup in Chiyoda tonight?"

Sinon confirmed, "Yeah."

Raz logged out and saw his office and saw one of his co-workers standing nearby. He handed Daichi the written memo from his manager. He read the message and saw that he had a waiting phone call from an unknown caller in the States. He walked into the private office of his manager and saw a familiar face, Kaito's former employer.

"Sir," Daichi acknowledged while jokingly doing a salute.

"You don't have to do that, I'm out of the military," the man replied.

The man motioned to the phone and saw a light blinking on the button. On a nearby Post-it note, the caller's name and information were written. Daichi picked up the handpiece and accepted the call.

"Rath. Daichi speaking," Daichi stated.

"Is that you? Daichi?" the voice asked.

Daichi looked at the Post-it note and noticed the caller's name was Takamine Momiji.

"Oh hey, Taka. How's the States?" Daichi asked.

Takamine stood at the window and admired the Rocky Mountains. Their peaks were covered in snow that is slowly melting away. It would eventually reveal the rocky peaks and their true face.

She replied, "It's okay here. I'm with Kaito right now at the hospital. Look, I want to ask you about Kaito and Sword Art Online. What he did there in question."
