Everything Is Perfect

[Denver, Colorado || December 203X]
Kaito stared at the floor for a moment. His hands were clasped together as he pondered his tasks for the day. A warm sensation brushed against his face. He glanced up from the floor and saw Takamine smiling back at him.

She gently pressed a mug of hot chocolate against his face and asked, "You in there?"

Kato nodded and stood up. He took the cup from her hands and took a long sip. Takamine reached out to his face and gently brushed away a strand of hair. Kaito smiled and held her hand against his cheek. The silver wedding band on her ring finger glinted in the sunlight. He rubbed his thumb along the smooth surface.

"Thanks," he said.

Takamine smiled and kissed Kaito on the lips. The pair walked together to the balcony. The entirety of downtown Denver was in their view. The snow fell slowly as the cold nipped at their exposed skin. They stood side by side, enjoying the view. Their hands slowly reached for each other. Their fingers interlaced with one other. Takamine rested her head on Kaito's shoulder and closed her eyes. She wanted to savor every moment they had together. Takamine glanced up at Kaito and smiled at his calm expression. She nuzzled her face into his arm before moving to his ear.

"I love you so so much," Takamine whispered. "I don't want to leave your side ever again."

Kaito faced Takamine and saw her teary eyes. He smiled for a moment and brought his hand to her face. He swiped away the tears with his thumb.

Kaito whispered, "I promise that I won't leave you because I love you too."

Kaito's reaffirmation sent Takamine's heart over the edge. She leaned in and kissed Kaito on the lips once more. Her arms wrapped around his neck. Takamine nuzzled her face into his chest.

She whispered to herself, "It's warm."

Kaito wrapped his arm around her and caressed her hair. Snow slowly fell from the sky and landed on their balcony. Takamine removed her face from his chest and reached out towards the city. Snowflakes clung to her beige sweater. She retracted her arm and brushed off the snow. Takamine returned to Kaito's embrace and kissed his neck.

"We've been together for so long...it's hard to imagine a life separate from each other," she whispered. "I'm so happy that we made it official. It feels so nice to call you my husband."

They returned inside of the apartment and placed their mugs in the sink. After a few minutes of standing around, Takamine made the first move. She wrapped her arms around his neck and passionately kissed Kaito on the lips. Their lips parted slightly to allow their tongues to touch each other. Their lips separated and they gazed into each other's eyes.

"You put something in the drink didn't you..." Kaito whispered. "Feels really warm all of a sudden."

Takamine smirked and seductively whispered into his ear, "Maybe I did. All I want is you now."

She moved her lips from his ear to his neck. She sucked and nibbled the skin causing Kaito to groan in pleasure. He lifted his neck more to give her better access. Takamine continued to nibble and suck at his skin before Kaito lifted her chin and stared into her eyes.

"You're perfect," he whispered.

"But my night won't be perfect unless I have all of you," she whispered back.

Kaito brought his face to her neck and gently nibbled and sucked on her skin. Takamine lifted her neck and small moans escaped her lips. Her hands moved under his loose t-shirt and towards his chest. As her hands explored his torso, his kisses became more intense. After a while, the two separated and gazed into each others eyes. Their foreheads rested against each other.
