Maya takes a deep breathe and parks her car in her parent's drive way. She grabs her purse and walks up to the door and knocks. Lane answers " Maya. This is surprise. What are you doing here?" Maya gives a small " Hello sir. I just need to talk to you and mom. Something important came up." Lane nods and let's Maya in. Katherine looks from the couch and smiles at Maya as Maya pulls out the sonogram out of her purse " So....I want to tell you guys because this is very important to me. I'm pregnant." Katherine smiles wide and hugs Maya as Lane slams his hand down " What the hell we're you thinking! You have your whole future ahead of you! Is the father even involved?" Maya looks shocked and pulls away her mom " I haven't told him yet but he is a police officer and he seem nice. I don't think he will have a problem with the baby. And besides I have a good job having a baby isn't going to tarnish that. The whole firehouse is helping." Lane sighs " There options Maya. There" Maya cuts him off " Don't! I'm not giving up this baby. I made the decision. I'm keeping him. I heard his heartbeat and I fall in love. And you know what if you don't want to be involve then he doesn't need you." She grabs her purse and walks out slamming the door. She runs to her car and throws her purse inside and drives off " It is ok. We don't need them...." Maya whispers as she drives home.

    January 10th Friday
    Station 19.

    Maya rolls the hose and nods " Yeah my dad said there are options Andy.  You don't understand when I heard this baby heartbeat. I fall in love. I have this baby to protect and love. Do it different from my parents. Yes I won a gold medal with my Dad help but I don't want to be that way with this baby." Maya sighs as Andy picks up the hose " Which you won't be. And besides, I'm sure my dad will love to be Papa Herrera."  Maya laughs and shakes her head as the front door is slammed and Ethan walks into the garage " How fuckin dare you! You had your dad come down to my work to accuse me of being your baby daddy?!" Maya stands up   and Andy runs to get someone "  Don't yell  at me like that! I didn't tell my dad to do anything." Ethan shoves a cheek at Maya " Here is a cheek for abortion. Get rid it. I can't have this thing around. It bad for my family image"  Maya steps back  " You can leave.  I'm not having an abortion. Thank you." She starts walking away as Ethan grabs her arm "  You need to get rid of it." Jack runs in and grabs Ethan's hand and puts Maya behind him " Listen here. You don't get to come in here and demand  her to do anything. She or this baby doesn't need you at all. Now leave." Ethan glares at Jack and leaves as Maya quickly wipes her face and whispers " Thank you Jack. Umm I appreciate it.  It seems like everyone thinks this baby is a" Jack stops her " Don't say that  this baby isn't. None of us think that." Maya nods and looks at andy " Thank you guys." Andy nods " Of course. She is our niece. We all excited for her." Maya shakes her head  " Oh you mean a boy right? I'm definitely having a boy. I feel it. But thank you Jack. HE is lucky to have you and andy as uncle and aunt." Jack nods " of course."
