Aonung's POV:

Once me and Neteyam had finished washing up, we both headed back to his hut, hand in hand.

We laughed and talked about random stuff.

It felt like nothing in the world mattered while I was with him.

We were about 100 meters away from his hut before we saw Rotxo walking up to us.

As he got closer, we began to slowly let go of each other.

It felt like there was a pain in my chest as Neteyam's hand slipped out of mine.

I hated keeping this a secret.

"Hey dude!" Rotxo called as he got even closer.

"Hey bro" I replied, putting my fist out.

"Where you guys been? Feels like I haven't seen you guys in weeks" He said, bumping his fist into mine.

"We've just been out and about" Neteyam replied, high fiving Rotxo.

"Well, I was gonna go hunting later on. You guys wanna come?" He asked, a bright smile on his face.

I looked over to Neteyam who had an enthusiastic look on his face.

I turned back to Roxto and replied for both Neteyam and I.

"Sure, sounds fun." I said, smiling at Rotxo.

"Great!" He replied, jumping up and down like a little kid. He hasn't changed a bit from our childhood.

"We'll meet up at the reef tonight" He said, walking away.

Both me and Neteyam waved goodbye as he slowly walked out of view.

We continued to walk to Neteyam's hut, talking about tonight.

Neteyam's POV:

Once me and Aonung reached the hut, we both sat down in my corner.

Lo'ak was the only one there, making food.

Since Lo'ak already knew about us, me and Aonung let our guard down, not worrying about anyone spotting us getting too close.

We ended up lightly pecking each other on the lips, making Lo'ak fake gag.

I picked up a small sea shell beside us, tossing it at him and managing to hit him right in the face.

I watched as Lo'ak had a offended expression on his face as he threw it back.

It hit me on my forehead, causing me to stop laughing and look at him, the same appearing expression on my face.

I stood up, walking over to him

He stood up as well, putting his hands up.

"You're gonna regret that" I said, smirking at him.

"Bring it!" He shouted playfully.

I began to charge at Lo'ak, tackling him and pinning him to the ground.

I tickled him, letting out a loud laugh

"Who's the mighty warrior now?" I asked, still laughing.

He refused to say it, trying to fight back.

I only tickled harder.

"Say it!" I said, a wide grin on my face.

"Fine! You are!" Lo'ak said, laughing as well.

"Who is?" I asked him once again, continuing to tickle him until he began to uncontrollably laugh.

"Neteyam!" He screamed out, trying to talk over his laughter.

"Neteyam the mighty warrior!" He said, still laughing to himself.

I began to giggle as well, not stopping.

I heard Aonung laugh in the background, trying to cover his mouth with his hand.

"I said it! Now stop!" Lo'ak said laughing, trying to push me off.

I let go, huffing.

Lo'ak was huffing too, looking extremely tired.

"Bro, you look like you just go hit by a Tulkun" I said to Lo'ak, laughing to myself.

"That's because you weigh more than a Tulkun" He replied, laughing too.

"Skxawng" I said, smiling at him.

He smiled back, his wide grin going ear to ear.
