Neteyam's POV:

I woke up again, but this time it was eclipse.

Aonung was sleeping peacefully next to me, his chest slowly moving up and down.

I stared at him for a while, admiring his hair, skin, lips. Everything...

Eventually, he woke up, rubbing his face and turning his body towards mine.

He slowly opened his eyes, squinting at me.

"Neteyam?" He quietly asked in a tired voice.

"Hi" I said, softly, smiling at him and inching closer.

He didn't reply, but instead pulled me into a very warm hug.

He let out a loud sigh before squeezing me tightly.

"A-Aonung.." I said, trying to break free from the hug.

"No..." He said, lifting me onto his lap.

I continued to protest but he ended up just hugging tighter.

I gave up, hugging back and nuzzling into his chest.

Damnit, Lo'ak was totally right...

I'm such a bottom...

We stayed that way for a while, our breaths perfectly in time and our heart beats nice and slow.

A few minutes passed before Aonung loosened his grip and leaned his head on top of mine.

"Neteyam?" He whispered, obviously nervous.

"Mhmm?" I replied, giving into the hug.

"I-" He was so hesitant. Why?

"Yeah?" I said, coming up from his chest and meeting his dark blue face.

"Can we- I mean you don't have to but-" He mumbled, fidgeting with his fingers.

I've never seen Aonung like this.

So nervous.

I placed my hand on his cheek, pulling him closer.

This caused him to almost instantly stop blabbering.

"Aonung" I said, looking into his ocean blue eyes.

"Hmm?" Aonung replied, staring straight back.

"What would you like to do?" I asked, smiling at him.

He seemed to be flustered again.

Damn, did I rizz him up too much?

"I was just wondering" He said, breaking eye contact again.

"Would you like to visit the spirit tree with me?" He finally said, so quiet I almost didn't catch it. But I'm so glad that I did.

"Like..." I said, bringing his face back up to face mine.

"...A date?" I asked, the smile on my face growing even wider.

Aonung thought for a second before slowly closing his eyes and nodding.

I have no idea why, but my heart didn't just skip a beat hearing that, it practically stopped for a second.

"Then, would you like to go on a date with me?" He asked, his confidence slowly rising.

I sat there for a moment, almost too stunned to speak.

Aonung looked a bit hurt in that moment of silence.

"You don't have to" He said, his smile dropping.

"NO!" I basically screamed, holding his face in my hands.

"I mean, yes!" I managed to blurt out "Yes! I would love to!"

Aonung's smile quickly appeared again hearing those words.

"Then...tonight?" He asked, his smile now wider than mine.

"Now!" I responded without thinking.

"What..?" Aonung said, a bit shocked.

"Uh..That's only if you want to. I'm just excited!" I replied.

"I mean, sure?" He said, a confused expression on his face.

"I just didn't expect you to say yes" Aonung said, laughing at how childish I was being.

I stood up, reaching a hand out for Aonung.

"Should we get going then?" He asked, leading me to the water.

Once we were about waist deep in, he called over our Ilus.

I watched in amazement as they both swam up to him.

"Come on" He said, waving me over.

Once I climbed my way onto the Ilu, I looked over to Aonung in a leaning position.

He rode over to me, leaning in and whispering

"Race?" He asked, smirking at me.

"You're on" I said, smirking back and getting ready to waste his ass.

"Three, two, one...GO!" He shouted, taking off a whole second before me.

"Fucking cheater!" I shouted, a smile on my face before chasing after him.
