Kennie and her dad needs to leave Lousianna after this BS with her ex MARRIED lover. Her best friend, Jiji begs her to move up to NJ with her and Hulk. Finding the perfect job, that was similar to what she did back home......is perfect!
Its been 2 y...
Kandace walked out the room and was obviously yelling something to the kids. Going down the stairs with our bags, I opened the door and Kennie skipped in and hugged me. Andy and Jiji walked in the house and he took the bags....I hugged my daughter tighter and the relief fell over me again.
My only child is still here.....mesí Bondieu (Thank you God)
"Where are they? The plane is taking off in like an hour...." Jiji looked at her watch. I let Kennie go and looked back upstairs, it's 5 in the evening and and we were on our way to DC for the weekend....
I'm gonna meet the president!
"The kids are probably still not ready...." Kennie and her best friend scoffed, their mouths moved and they ran upstairs. I smiled, watching the two.....I remember them doing the same when they were barely in their teens.

Now they're grown women, my daughter is about to be a mom herself......I'm gonna be a grandfather. I knew that eventually I would be one, an amazing thing about my daughter is that she's careful with who she wants to have a child with. If she had been pregnant with Omari's baby, instead of Qasim's.....it would have really hurt her, but she won't treat my innocent grandchild no differently.
Raising Kennie had been hard.....but a joy nonetheless. Now, she was blessing me with another carbon copy of her and yes, I do hope she has a girl.
Will be spoiled like the queen her mom is.....
Out of the....bullshit of a marriage with Jordyn, I'm truly blessed to have my daughter. I know for a fact, that Kennie will be nothing like her other parent. She looks just like Jordyn, but her character is nowhere close to hers. Kennie didn't have Jordyn, she never knew a mother's love.....but she gave each child and person the energy of a true mother. She developed that on her own, with the guidance of Jiji's aunt, Esmerelda and the best of what I could give her. I looked at Andy and he tapped my arm with a smile.
