"We going somewhere.....?" I looked at Mosi after I tied his shoes, me and Kennie left today as a surprise for him.
"We're gonna meet a friend....." I smiled at him, Mosi raised his finger to his lips. "Ah.....sorry, I forgot you're learning to read when people talk to you......I'm proud of you....." I said slowly.
I was impressed when Taymar came to me and mentioned that Kennie both signs and speaks to her dad.....and I saw it yesterday. I talked to Kennie about it and she used the method with her students back in Louisiana.
"I learn a new word....."
"Oh, yeah.....what is it....?" I watched Mosi concentrate real hard, figuring out the sign.

"Girlfriend.....!?" He said with confidence.
"Good job....." I dapped him up and showed him boyfriend. "Is someone your girlfriend.....?" Mosi watched my lips and his eyes dropped to my hands, he got bashful and giggled to himself. I shrugged, cuz he could be talking about Lyric.
Kennie and Taymar tells me that he's really staying in class because of her and I see the signs. My nephew got a crush......Mosi shook his head, his infectious giggles filling his room.

"What's funny.....? Why did you learn the word....?" I smiled.
"I asked Kennie if she is a girlfriend....." I looked around his room, nodding. Getting up, I helped Mosi sit on the edge of his bed.
"I still don't know why you asked....." I said in curiosity.
"Titi and uncle Kofi....." He shrugged and I nodded in understanding. Malikah and my best friend are a quietly affectionate couple, Mosi was born with them being together. I looked at him when he poked my arm......"You....." He pointed.
