"Wow...How'd you, of all people, let someone use your own spell against you?" Thalia laughed.

"Listen, it's not just my spell. Albus is the one who told me about it so obviously other people must know it too," I shrugged.

"It's okay, at least you're alive and that's all that matters. I think i'd kill myself if you died." Jude said, putting his arm around me.

"Yeah, us too." Vik said.

I was glad I had my old friends back with me. It had been so long since I last saw them. Of course we met up in the summer when I was allowed to. Under the supervision of some of Albus' friends. Thalia was probably the first friend I made at Durmstrang. I remember someone was bullying her so I hexed them to grow really big ears. Jude was my second friend I made. We had almost all of our classes together and that's where we would share our secrets. He's told me things he hasn't told anyone else. Not even his parents. Things about him. Finally, we added Viktor Krum to our little friendship group after he developed a crush for me. I admit, I used to fancy him but the more we became friends, we viewed each other as siblings.

I heard a knock on the door and I saw Bea come in.

"We have a shift in ten minutes," she muttered, leaving the room quickly.

"Shit! You guys are coming later aren't you? Please say yes, you have to meet Sean." I smirked.

"Of course, we'll be there." Thalia smiled.

The cafe wasn't that busy but the hours seemed to drag with Bea not speaking to me for some reason. I spent the whole shift wondering what it was I could've done.

I broke the silence as we were making coffees and asked, "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yes."

"You don't seem okay." I replied.

"I'm fine. How are your friends?"

So that's what this was about.

"I'm sorry if you have been feeling left out because of their arrival. I just haven't seen them in a while. You know I still love you and you're my best friend too." I looked at her to see if this was the problem.

"It's okay," she sighed. "I think I just get jealous really quickly. I'm sorry, I know they aren't here for long. Please enjoy your time with them." She smiled.

I wrapped my arms around her and pulled Bea into a hug, squeezing her tightly.

"I love you, weirdo. But not enough that I'm staying behind working extra hours. You okay if I leave now?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. We're quiet anyways." I waved her off and eventually, she left.

Around five minutes after Bea had left, the cafe became even more quiet. However, the bell jingled and I looked up to see who entered. Fucking Cormac.

He came into the cafe by himself dressed in all black leather and a toothpick in his mouth. I was silently cursing at myself for letting Bea go early and leaving me to deal with this cunt by myself.

"Hey, Rivers. Looking good." He winked, coming to sit on the bar stools on the countertop where I was.

"Wish I could say the same about you, Cormac." I cringed at the way he was moving the toothpick around his mouth.
