DAD WAS TO BE BURIED OUTSIDE THE WALLS, reg was buried inside. ron was outraged, telling me it's because they said they couldn't bury a killer in these walls, i just shrugged without a word. ron would've been the only one visiting his grave anyway.

the peacefulness didn't last too long at home, mom sat with sam as he cried and she hugged him, all while ron decided to yell and walk out. one night i snuck out and climbed onto the top of the gazebo where carl spotted and joined me. i placed my hand in his as we sat in silence, watching the stars, i didn't even notice ron staring in disapproval until he'd already walked away. i knew he wasn't fond of carl now, him being rick's son and all but i didn't care, whether i liked rick or not, i like carl.

a day later, mom was asking where ron was, it was late in the afternoon and before i could tell her i didn't know, rick walked through the door with ron in front of him.

"he followed us all the way east, and there's something else everyone's gonna have to have a meeting about at deanna's." he said firmly. she just nodded and told ron, sam and i to stay home again. i hoped no one would die this time.

ron told me about what he'd seen, the thousands of walkers and that rick 'grabbed (him) like he had any authority over (him) at all', i just nodded and asked more about the walkers. i didn't want to have to stand there and listen to him spew shit about the man that essentially rid us of the biggest problem in our lives at the time, whether ron could admit it or not.

everyone who volunteered was out taking care of the herd of walkers, the rest of us were just meant to sit at home and pretend we weren't worrying about it.

i was sitting in my room when i heard mom attempting to call ron down for a haircut, or more realistically, to talk about everything. he came down in a huff and i heard them arguing about dad again, she called him out about dad hurting his arm and he fired back with something about rick being dangerous before, as per usual, storming off.
