It had been around a month after the rumour of one eyed Abe successfully circulated until Aegon ultimately decided to interfere with Aemonds life once more.

He had noticed that his brother was currently sporting a hideously carved wooden ball that had become a sort of makeshift eye. What's worse though, after stumbling into Aemonds room once while drunk, was that every so often Aemond was forced to replace the wooden monstrosity due to the wood becoming damp in the strange wet cavern of the eye socket.

When Aegon had stumbled into Aemonds room, the horror he felt for him could not be described in words as he witnessed Aemond hissing in pain while practically clawing out the wooden eye to replace it with another. He could only bare to stand there a few seconds before leaving to vomit in a hallway. But it was at that moment while the drink was leaving him and therefore could not affect him, that he decided to be better than himself like his mother always wished for him to be like and give Aemond a gift. Specifically, a brand new eye fit for a prince.

It had taken Aegon a whole moons cycle to decide what would be best to use, and even still he had only managed to decide when he employed the help of Alyssa's opinion on the matter. He still remembers her face clearly in his mind when he had asked her for the favour.

"You want my help oh dearest cousin? I assumed you wouldn't want the help of your uncles bastard?" Alyssa teased with a conniving smirk on her face that made Aegons chest strangely flutter at the action directed only towards him. Though he quickly pushed that unknown feeling deep down inside of him as his mothers condescending voice rang loudly in his head. Control yourself Aegon! Do I have in front of me a son or a pig?

"Oh trust me cousin I would've picked anyone else if I could have. But you are one of my twat of a brothers closest companions for some reason, and I refuse to ask Helaena as she cannot even keep a lie if it depended on Dreamfyres life!" Aegon explained flailing his arms in a very exaggerated manor to attempt to draw attention from his slightly flushed face, caused solely by Alyssa's raised eyebrow and teasing smile. Oh how Aegon was beginning to detest Alyssa's soft and only slightly pretty smile...

Though as the two were on a hunt for Aemonds new eye, to Aegons horror it seemed that he and Alyssa had found themselves becoming closer to what he had initially liked and intended for. He could not help but in the weeks he and Alyssa spent together, admire her smile as she laughed at him when he would mockingly parade as Aemond with the multiple objects he thought could put in Aemonds eye socket. The way her lips curled almost seductively as the two would indulge themselves on the sweet dornish wine Aegon had asked a maid to bring hours prior, nearly made his cheeks flush a horrendous red. Although, he liked to believe it was the wine at fault and not the woman.

Aegon was not an easily persuadable person, a trait he'd seemed to inherit from his grandsire it seemed, and yet Alyssa had broke down his walls and into his, dare he say it, his heart, without so much of a swing of a sword. Her smile made his chest oddly flutter while his cheeks would flush a light pink. Her laugh was strangely infection, as whenever he heard it spreading though the castle it always made him want to break out in a smile too. Even just her talking was enough to leave him craning his head to hear more.

It was not honestly a surprise to Aegon when he'd realised he'd begun to think of her in some very certain ways. One quite suddenly comes to thought when he is mid-conversation, and he becomes way too invested in the thought that he misses Alyssa's attempt to converse with him. Though Alyssa was never an easily patient person, a trait his father said she'd inherited from her own father supposedly, so when she realises that he is not listening she takes no thinking of precautions and hits him on the leg, hard.

"Seven hells woman what is it?!" He yells at the sudden pain throbbing in his leg. Now suddenly aware of the world around him and not the world in his mind.
