I still remember the first time I saw him.

Flashback to a five year old Chloe

It is a really sunny day, so mom and I walk to the playground like we always do on Tuesdays.

I know every kid on the playground, but today there was a new boy. I haven't seen him before.
He has brown hair and blue eyes.

He is sitting at my usual playing spot wearing a white T-Shirt with a cute little bear on it and some jeans. He is pretty cute, but boys have cooties.

Nobody ever dares to sit in my spot. It is time to teach him a lesson, to show him who the boss is around here.

I walk to my spot to ask the new kid to leave.
When I stand in front of him, he looks up to me with an open mouthed smile. He is missing a front tooth, so he has a slight lisp, "Hi, what's your name?"

"Chloe," I answer. "Yours?"

"Alec, your future husband."

I am surprised about his straightforwardness and I clearly show it on my face "What?"

"You're cute"

"Thank you," I say slightly blushing.

"Do you want to play together?"

I look him in the eyes, they are beautiful.
Forgetting what I am here for in the first place, I weakly answer with "Sure."

We play together for the rest of the day until it is time to go home.

You can call it fate or coincidence what happened next.

Both of our mothers walked from the other side of the playground to our spot.
They recognized each other and started hugging while saying, ''What are you doing here?''
Apparently they were best friends in high school, but lost contact when they went separate ways.
After talking for like an hour, they planned a family dinner at our house.

This was the start of a lifelong friendship...
