On the outside, the club looked like any regular club. It had the bouncers, the queue to get in, and even had a gathering of barely dressed women hanging off to the side. When they alighted from the car, Ada could clearly perceive the smell of Suya. On further investigation, she found the vendor in the far corner surrounded by customers eager to patronize him. Chike must have seen her looking because he immediately headed there, Kachi following.

Azu had gone in a different car so they were yet to see him. She made her way to the guys and watched them haggle over the price of the barbequed meat. They came to a conclusion and Chike grinned. No one would even suspect these were billionaires. They looked like regular guys out for the night and from the way they'd argued with the seller, you'd never know they could afford to buy him out a hundred times over.

After they'd paid, she saw Kachi tipping the man who beamed at them and added a lot more to their package. She shook her head as they returned and they made their way towards the queue. People began to grumble and complain when they skipped the line and headed straight for the bouncer. A few whispered words from Kachi and the previously barricaded doors were opened for them. Money was good, she thought.

"Oga, your table is this way. Please follow me," a young woman said immediately they got into the club. How she'd recognized the men, Ada didn't know.

They followed her up a flight of stairs and then came to a stop in a closed off booth.

"Here's the drink menu. Take your time and decide what you want. I'll be back soon," she said before turning to walk away.

Kachi got in first, then Ada followed. Chike was the last to get in so she was seated in between the two men.

"Azu just got here. He said Bode's here too," Kachi said, eyes fixed on his phone.

"Are you okay?" Chike whispered in her ear and she almost jumped. The proximity was too much and she couldn't really do anything about it. If she shifted, she'd be pressed against Kachi.

"I'm good. Why are you asking?"

"You seem quieter. Abi this is the new you?"

"Stop whispering and check the menu," Kachi chastised. "You can do all that when you're alone."

"What do you mean?" Ada pushed Kachi slightly.

"It's you people that know what you talk about when no one is watching. Why are you asking me?"

Before she could reply, Azu and Bode made their way to where they were seating. They took the seats opposite them and Azu immediately waved the waiter over. The man never wasted time when it came to partying. She greeted the two men, a little reserved as she conversed with Bode. She didn't know why, but she never felt comfortable around the man.

"Where are the strippers?" Chike asked after exchanging pleasantries with Bode.

"I thought we should start with some drinks first. Then go to the floor above. That's where the main action happens."

Azu ordered drinks for everyone, occasionally asking if they were okay with it before dismissing the waiter. Chike opened the pack of Suya and handed her a toothpick. She inhaled the savory smell of it before picking one up.

"This is so good." She let out a small moan. She picked up a few slices of onion to blend with the meat. Suya was one of her favorite party snacks and all time snacks in general. She loved how spicy and smooth the meat tasted. This Mallam obviously knew what he was doing.

While others took bites of the meat, she noticed Chike was just staring at her. "What?" she queried and he shook his head then looked away.
