After what seemed like hours of bawling her eyes out, Alianna got up and walked down the street. The street seemed like it would go on forever. Endless passage ways sprouted around every corner. Suddenly something black dashed out of the bush on the side of the road and went straight in front of her, knocking her onto the concrete. Alianna grazed her knees and hand s but was alright otherwise. She chased after the creature. Around a bend, past a few shops and into a passage way. Suddenly the creature stopped. Alianna realised it was a puppy, a sleek black puppy with liquid brown eyes. The puppy stared up at Alianna hopefully. "I am sorry puppy but I live on the streets to, I do not have food either." The little puppy whimpered. Alianna crouched down to hug him but he dashed away and stopped a couple of meters ahead of her. Alianna followed, and once again attempted to hug the puppy. be dashed away once more and stopped a couple of metres ahead. Suddenly Alianna realiased what he wanted her to do, he wanted her to follow him! Alianna followed him around corners past house, and through alley ways. Alianna always kept an eye out for any stranger lurking in the shadows. She did not want to run into a stranger like last time... the thought even made her trembled. Finally the puppy stopped ahead. I jogged to where he was sitting. He was sitting on a rug, tail wagging furiously. "I think we will be good friends, what shall I call you? Buddy?" He whimpered "No. How about... Dodger!" Dodgers bark echoed in the dark alley way. "I will take that as a yes!!!" As she snuggled up against Dodger she felt loved once again. Maybe she and Dodger would survive if they stuck together! She had a chance!
