A sudden rush of light flushed out the door, as a lady around her 40s opened the door. "Hello?" Said the lady "oh, my dear, what brings you out this late?" Suddenly,as if all thoughts from the last few days had flushed back to her, she erupted into a waterfall of tears. "Oh, my dear, I am so sorry, I meant no harm." The lady apologized "Come, come inside my dear. Lets get you cleaned up!" I followed her into the brightly lit hallway. The walls were a dull green and there were many pictures hanging on the wall. The lady turned into a loung room. The warmth of the roaring fire soaked through her. "You wait here darling, and I will go fetch some food for you" as the women scurried off down the hallway leaving her alone in the room warm tears slipped silently down her filthy cheeks. Dodger jumped up onto Aliannas lap and licked up her tears. "Oh Dodger, why is life so..."she paused "hard" Soon the women returned carrying a tray of steaming hot coacoa with a marshmallow on top , chicken soup, and some freshly buttered toast. She placed it on the glass coffee table in front of Alianna. Alianna looked at it longingly. "Ha ha ha" the woman chuckled" you may begin. Alianna lunged herself at the food awaiting her. She didn't leave a single drop or crumb. Through mouthfuls of bread and soup, Alianna told her story from start to finish. When she had finished the lady rose from where she had been listening. "I think I know what to do with you" she murmured thoughtfully as she picked up the phone.
