What Happened

part two: even through tears

((A/n hey everyone quick tw there is heavily implied SA in this chapter))Quin nodded after Percy said he would decide on killing kody or not, she wasn't feeling too great, and admittedly she was a bit scared of him that dark look that sinister chuckle she sure as hell wouldn't wanna cross him,they quickly ate before Percy dragged her to the cabin after they were inside he immediately asked "what did he do?" Concerned  "I shouldn't have said anything he was just being a jerk it's not that big a deal" she said sitting down on her bunk "it may not be a big deal but I still wanna know" Percy started to pace "how long has he been being a jerk, why haven't you told me" "Percy it's complicated, I'd have to tell you the whole thing" quin said, really not wanting to tell her brother the whole thing "I have time, and quin I wanna make it clear, I am not mad at you at all I'm mad at that dipshit kody"  "... It's been going on for a while he- sometimes he'll rough me up then make me eat Nectar so none of my bruises exist when you see me" she admitted a lump catching in her throat again and Percy stopped pacing "what do you mean rough you up?" He asked,his concern for his sister growing" "y'know beat me up- he sometimes uses broken glass..."  Percy felt a mix of negative emotions pissed at kody disappointed that he hadn't realized something was off sad that his sister hadn't come to him "one of the worst and parts is-" she hesitated for almost a minute "he did something-" she said quietly and Percy had a hunch but wanted to know for sure "what was it?" He asked cautiously only now realising her hair was very obviously hiding something on her neck as she removed her hair it revealed something that looked similar to a bruise but wasn't and she started crying percy's eyes widened "oh gods..." His hunch was right but he didn't wanna believe it. Quin started sobbing and Percy hugged her "I'm so sorry, I should've realized something was off" all quin could do was sob she couldn't form words another conch horn blew in the distance and Percy said "we aren't going to campfire tonight" quin still couldn't form words just sobs and small Hicks as she clung to her brother after a few more minutes annabeth came in "hey you guys weren't at campfire what's going on?" Quins sobs had calmed down but she was still crying when annabeth saw what was going on her expression softened "woah,I would ask if everything is alright but clearly it isn't" she started before Leo walked up and leaned onto the doorframe "y'all having a party and I wasnt- he then saw quin crying and Percy holding her his smile disappearing " what happened? Is she hurt is she ok?" Leo asked with concern  "kody is going to die" Percy said simply before annabeth explained to Leo what happened at dinner and Leo looked over at quin noticing the mark on her neck and having the same assumption Percy did, he knew quin had been acting off but he couldn't tell why color drained from his face "oh no.." He remarked quietly as annabeth noticed the mark and almost gasped before Leo's expression darkened "kody might as well be dead already" he said before walking off,suddenly quin felt a wave of exhaustion both annabeth and Percy could tell, annabeth sighed "I'll be right back" she said before walking off to make sure Leo didn't hurt anyone, although she herself wanted kody hurt she didn't want Leo kicked out of camp Percy sighed softly "your safe now quin I won't let that asshole come near you again" quin sniffled finally able to form words through small Hicks "he said if I told anyone he would do it again" "not on my watch" Percy said quin was started to get frustrated Percy didn't understand that kody had a plan "he did it when you were asleep Percy he'll make sure your asleep again" her eyes were starting to get heavy "we'll talk later I can tell your tired" Percy said but quin wanted to talk now despite her exhaustion but before she could protest Percy said "even through tears I know that look, sleep I'll be right here" quin sighed letting her exhaustion overtake her and fell asleep within minutes the whole night Percy was right there, he couldn't sleep through all his emotions and paranoia he was extremely pissed but had to stay calm for his sister once she was asleep he he started seething just sitting in his anger once morning came quin woke up and Percy as promised was there he looked tired  "did you sleep?" Quin questioned and Percy replied "I'm not concerned with me right now" before quin could say something the breakfast horn blew in the distance "I don't wanna see him" quin said quietly and Percy's expression softened ever so slightly  "you won't I'll make sure" after he said that she hesitantly got up and put on her shoes placing the hair on her neck so it would hide the mark again Percy got up as well as they were walking to the pavilion Leo saw them and quickly walked over "are you ok? How bad did he hurt you" he asked softly trying to put his anxiety aside and be calm and rational for her he had a million questions In his head but didn't want to overwhelm her quin looked at Leo and he could see the sadness in her eyes usually he would just rush to hug her but he wanted to be calmer "would you like a hug?" He asked gently and she nodded he walked closer and gave her a comforting hug she almost broke down again right there but didn't she didn't want to cry in front of a bunch of people so she just hugged him back and the hug went on for a good minute before quin hesitantly pulled away "thank you Leo" she said quietly "of course" he replied simply then contemplated something for a moment before gently taking her hand and continuing to walk, a small blush spread on her cheeks but Leo didn't notice he was to preoccupied with his thoughts, quin looked back at Percy like 'did he actually just take my hand?' And Percy nodded he was still upset but a small smile formed on his face but then they got to the pavilion
