What Happened

part 6: true colors

Quin fully woke up to look up and see kody's smug face. her eyes widened  she was about to scream for help but kody quickly put his hand over her mouth. "don't make this more painful than it's already going to be, can you do that?" Quin slowly nodded tears already swelling in her eyes. even after everyone threats towards him she was still scared. kody had a way he always. did his stupid smug grin widened. he said "good, now I think you know why I'm here." Then took a very sharp looking piece of broken glass out of his pocket. even though quin new it was coming her heart couldn't help but speed up. he turned the glass in his hands and examined it as if he didn't every time this happened. "let's see how big we can make your new scar." his eyes widened in mock excitement. "maybe we can make a new personal record, wouldn't that be fun?" Quin  shook her head desperately despite knowing it was in vain. he shrugged. "well it's fun for me." he then lifted up her shirt with one hand and held her down with the other. He was surprisingly strong. He put the glass to her torso pressing it in to make it easier to drag across and cut. quin had started crying already. kody as slowly as he could dragged the glass all the way across her torso and it made a deep cut. He moved his hand to Quin's mouth and held down her head so it was harder for her to move her upper half. she made muffled protests and cries of pain but he didn't care he was used to it. as soon as he was about to make another cut will walked in. he had decided he had enough sleep for the night, when he walked in and saw kody occupied a squirming quin and smelled blood. he rushed over "YOU ABSOLUTE ASSHOLE" he yelled and yanked the glass from kody hands resulting in some small cut on his fingers. kody looked at him with a look of fear but not as much fear as it should have been. will decked kody so hard his nose started bleeding. this time wills voice was lower but more angry. "get.out.now" kody held his nose and rushed out. once quins mouth was uncovered she started sobbing from the pain and fear.  will looked at her his tone and gaze instantly softening "I'm going to have to clean the cut and it'll hurt-" and quin replied through Hicks and small breaths. "i don't want anymore pain." will sighed but replied simply so he could work on the cut quickly. "I know,but I have to." after he said that, Leo walked in. "I heard yelling. what's going on? is quin ok?" He looked at her and saw the cut. "oh my gods..." Will nodded "I know, stay with her I'm going to get the stuff to clean the cut" he said and walked off quickly. Leo sat down next to quin already almost forgetting he had originally wanted to come in to leave her a note saying he was sorry. quin was too distracted to see the small paper in his hand. Leo sighed. "what is kody trying to prove" he grumbled before will walked back with the things to clean the cut. it would take a couple of minutes maybe a bit more because the cut was so long and deep it went slanted across the top of her torso almost all the way down to her waist. of course will had to use rubbing alcohol for something this bad. before he started to clean it he warned her. "this is going to hurt, a lot but I have to do it" he said then starting to clean it quin started squirm a bit. reflectively grabbing something to squeeze but that something happened to be Leos free hand. currently quin was to occupied to be flustered about it.  Leo panicked a bit before holding her hand back and giving it a comforting squeeze. after about eight or nine minutes he was done and started to patch her up. "why couldn't you just have used nectar" leo asked as quin pain settled down to a throbbing ache. will was still focused on patching her up but he talked. "a couple of reasons. the first being judging by how many scars she has that's a lot of Nectar and a demigod can only handle so much, also because since kody forces her to drink it she probably hates it by now." he said before he finished bandaging her up he then looked at quin. "you can still go in the morning if you promise to take care of yourself and drink water."  He stated sternly. she nodded
"I promise" and held out her pinky will and her did pinky promises ever since they became friends. will  hooked her pinky with his own "I trust you" he said and she nodded as she made the pinky promise. after that she realized she was still holding Leos hand and blushed a bit "oh... Sorry" she said and he shook his head. "it's alright, I understand" he said neither of them wanted to let go of each other's hand but le stood up.  "you should get some more sleep, I shouldn't keep you from that.." he said and quin didn't want him to go but was also nervous to express that so she just nodded. "you need to sleep too" she said and Leo smiled just a small bit "I will, goodnight quin" he said "goodnight Leo" she responded before he walked out and went back to his cabin, as he walked out she realized how tired she was. will noticed. "sleep quin I'll be right here. I'm not letting him come back" he said the word 'him' like it was some sort of insult, like poison in his mouth. quin nodded and closed her eyes "goodnight will" she said sleepily "goodnight quin"
