Chapter Eight~

"So." Harry started. "So.." "What's the matter?" "Today. I didn't realize...It's the one year mark. And tomorrow would be our 5 year anniversary..." "I'm sorry. So, you went and bought a cat?" "Haha...ya." "Cool. So, what's its name?" "Ed." "I have a friend named Ed! And he's a ginger too!" After that we both laughed. After a couple minutes we arrived at a nice looking flat. "Well. This is your stop." Harry said. "Guess so. Thanks Harry!" I said as I got out of the car. I waved as he drove off then went and knocked on the door.

Liam answered the door after the first knock. "You don't have to knock silly. Oh! Here is your key!" He said while handing me a key as I walked in. He showed me to my room cause I was tired. It was amazing. Just like the pictures I sent. He said goodnight, and I crashed, after setting up Ed's stuff. I kept him in the kennel I bought tonight though because I didn't want to worry about him. The next morning I woke up refreshed, around 10:30. I remembered Ed, let him go to the bathroom, then asked Liam to watch him while I showered. I got out around 11 and got dressed for the street fair. I put on my white tapOut shirt, white skinny jeans, and navy toms. I also threw a zip up hoodie on. I ran my fingers through my hair and walked down the hall to see Liam and Harry playing with Ed. "Having fun you two?" I asked laughing watching them roll around on the floor. "Yes we are actually. Are you going somewhere?" Harry said." "Actually yes. I am going somewhere." "Uh-huh. Where you goin?" "Actually. On a date :]" "What?" "What? Am I not aloud to go on a date?" "But...It's your guys anniversary." "Harry please don't. Anyways. I have to go. Should I take Ed?" "No he's fine here. I got nothin to do :D" Liam said. "Thanks Li!" I said as I headed out the door.

I felt like I was too mean to Harry, but how could he do that? As he said it it felt like a spike being driven into my heart. I locked it away in a drawer and walked to the street to call a cab. "Where to young lady?" An elderly man said as I got into the cab. "The street fair." "Nice choice!" He said as he pulled the car out into the street and around a corner. A couple minutes later we arrive at the street fair, and it is 11:59. I walk over to a store booth for the pet store. I looked at the collars for cats just as someone tapped on my shoulder. I spun around and was face to face with a phone, the time 12:00. "Right on the dot. Look at yooou!!!" Jake said as he put his phone in his pocket. "Hiya there!" I said. "Ha-ha. Hi there XD. Oh. You don't need to look at those..." He replied, gesturing to the collars. "Really? Why not? It's the one thing I forgot!" "Ya I had noticed. TA-DAA! Employee discount." He exaggerated as he pulled a collar with a name tag that had a fish-shaped tag on it engraved with 'Ed'. "Oh! Thank you so much! uh! Ed is gonna love it!" "I thought he might.." Jake said as he put his arm around me and we walked off into the street fair.

I think I really like Jake. He is 19 turning 20. So just a bit older than I. He took art classes at a local college, but couldn't get a job because they wanted someone with more experience and he can't afford a better education for it. So he works at the pet store, but he doesn't mind, he has to save up the money one way or another and he loves animals, just like me. "So. Can I see you tomorrow Sammy?" he said as he was dropping me off at Li and I's flat. (I had Liam text me the address) "Ya. I'd like that." I said smiling. "Alright...I'll text you:)" "K:)" After that he kissed me on the cheek, and walked back to the cab. "Bye Sam!" "Bye Jake!" I used my key and unlocked the door, but it was hard to move at first. When I walked in I saw Harry and Liam on the floor right by the door, like they were knocked down. "Were you guys spying on me?!" I asked. "Um. Well. It was all Liams idea really. He wanted to make sure you were all right." "What? Not true Harry!" "Oh. So you were spying on me." "Well. When you put it that way, it sounds wrong..." "That's because it was. And is. Now. Thanks for trying to protect me but, I'm fine." "Sorry..." They both said. "Accepted." "So your going out with him again?" Harry asked. "Yeah...Why?" "Um. I- I- I was just wondering...." "Okay...Well I'm going to bed...Is Ed in there?" "Yup. Fast asleep." "Okay. Thanks. Night guys!!" "Goodnight!"
