I felt Jakes arms wrap around my waist and his face by my ear as he whispered to me. "Hope you like it love. Took me forever." He said as he guided me forward and finally untied the blindfold.
After finishing my scan of the room I spun around and kissed Jake. "Glad you like it:)" he chuckled as we broke apart. "I love it..." I whispered as I kissed him again. Then, I walked around the room, admiring Jake's art as he held my hand. Finally, I came across the presents. "And what are these?" I asked as I picked up a box and held it in the air. "Those are your gifts. I won't be here for Christmas, so I bought you these early. :)" He said while smiling. We then walked over to the table after I set down the gift. "Listen Sammy, we have to talk." "Bout?" "What you said the other day...you said long distance relationships never work. And I've been thinking....."
No!! No no no no!!! "I had this idea. We don't breakup necessarily , but go separate ways.I guess that is breaking up... But we will stay in touch, be the bestest friends ever in history, and when school is over in 2 years I move back here. If you have a new boyfriend or husband or whatever then great. If we're both single, well, we'll pick up where we left off. Believe me. I don't want to leave you here. I wanna stay or or take you with me. But... I would like to be best friends still, visit for the holidays...what do you think?" My eyes were watery. Why did I ever say that. "Sounds good to me:/" I said. "But we're still together till you leave right?" "Right."
We talked more and ate the yummy meal that was there and afterwards, he gave me the presents. There was a locket with his picture on it and on the other side was engraved 'Sammy & Jake. Best friends, forever.' The other was a plane ticket to Paris for a week! Woo!! Now I can visit him(: After a couple more hours we caught a cab and Jake took me home. He said goodnight like he always has, then left. I went straight to bed.
