It's currently six am and I'm was sitting in my room at the orphanage that's not really an orphanage it's more of a place where kids get sent if they don't have any family and they get tested on to see if they have any special abilities so right now I'm reading a book waiting for it to be my turn to train my ability which is something called telekinesis witch is when you can control stuff with your mind I continued reading when all of a sudden the memories start to come back and before I knew it,it was my tenth birthday again with was about four years ago now.

"kids hurry up or else we're going to be late!" mum yelled from the bottom of the stairs. Today we are going to my Granny's house to celebrate mine and my twin brother's tenth birthday. We do this for everyone's birthdays because she's too old to come to our house plus she has a nice big back garden we can eat the cake in and play in. "We're coming, we're looking for Kate's polar bear teddy. She can't find it!" my older brother Teddy, who is three years older than me yelled down the stairs to mum."It's down here on the sofa.Now let's go!" she yelled back, I ran down stairs into the living room and grabbed my teddy off the sofa then I walked to my dad who was waiting for me by the front door "come on sweetheart let's go" he said as I walked out the door. When We got outside Mum was strapping Nathaniel into his car seat behind the driver's seat and Teddy was sitting in the middle seat. Dad got me in my car seat and we started the quite 20 minute drive to Granny's house

When we were parking outside of Granny's house I heard a loud honking sound. Within a second the car is flipped over and there's blood dripping down my face and everyone is knocked out apart from me and Nathaniel "Mummy,Daddy,ted,nata?" I yelled as loud as I could but it came out scratchy and weak "Kate...W-what's happening I'm scared" I heard Nata cry out his fear could be heard in his voice "I don't know Mummy,Daddy and ted aren't waking up" I said trying not to cry and be brave because that's what dad told me to do. After a few minutes I could hear police and ambulance sirens coming to help us. After a minute there were some people trying to get Mum and Dad out the car, one came over to me and the other went over to Nathaniel. The windows were already mostly smashed so they broke the rest of the windows to get us out. Once they got us out of the car they took us to an ambulance "Hi Honey, we're here to help you and your family. Can you please move your head really slowly to the side so I can take a look?" The paramedic asked asbI Wasn't looking at her. I was more focused on what the other paramedic was doing to Nathaniel. I did as I was asked and slowly moved my head to the side so I could finally see her. She was really pretty, she has nice long black hair that was tied up in a high pony, her eyes were a nice ocean blue colour and she had a nice comforting smile on her face but I can tell she's worried I can see it in her eyes their filled with worry and concentration as she cleans my face.

"Ok honey that's you all cleaned up I'm going to put you in the other ambulance ok?" I looked at her worried, what would happen to Nathaniel. I don't want to leave him. I don't know where they took the rest of my family, I saw them get put into ambulance's on a bed then they drove off. It was as if the nice paramedic read my mind "It's ok honey we're going to take you and your brother to the hospital you'll see each other in a few minutes it's just so we can get you both to the hospital to make sure you're ok" she said. I looked over at Nathaniel and saw him nod so I agreed and let the lady pick me up and take me to the ambulance next to the one I was just in.

After a week Nathaniel and I found out that we were the only survivors and that the person who hit us was arrested. They also gave us the only things that survived in the crash which was my polar bear teddy who was named Polar Bear and Nathaniel's penguin teddy Snowa. A couple days later we were released from the hospital. Granny came to pick us up so we could stay with her for a while.
