You realized you didn't have much more of choice than compliance.  You jump down?  You die.  You keep clinging to the house and try to make your way around?  You wind up back at the window, get dragged inside, and probably die.  Last time you checked, you couldn't fly, so you had no other option.

You sighed and began to shuffle back towards the window, and Bo gave one of those evil smiles before going inside.  You slowed to a stop, watching as Vincent ducked back into the room.  You could only assume they had killed Nick, leaving you alone.  You were done for.  You looked around, praying for anything that could help you.  And escape, a hail-mary form of attack, anything.  You were desperate.

Then you saw it.  There was a tree, some of the branches reaching out towards the window and towards you, as if ready to wrap you in to a protective embrace.  You looked back at the window, and saw Vincent staring at you from inside.  You looked back at the tree, and took a deep breath.  Let's hope that nostalgia you had tapped into earlier today and yesterday would help you out.

Then you jumped.  Well, leapt, more like it.  You latched on to as many branches as possible, praying you could hold yourself up.  You didn't.  But there was a thicker branch underneath you that you dropped on to, and you stood up in the tree, still clinging to the other branch for balance.  You looked back at the window, not believing your fucking luck.  Vincent was still staring at you, and you assumed he was flabbergasted.  But in the room, you watched as Bo started swearing like a sailor before storming out, most likely to come catch you yet again.

You expertly made your way to the ground, and started sprinting into the woods.  You heard two sets of heavy footsteps thundering after you, and you tried to run faster.

You don't think straight you're panicked.

So don't panic.  Just don't panic.

Okay... okay.

You weren't running from two serial killers, you were running from Michael.  He had just grabbed a snake, or a dead cat from under Mr. Anderson's porch.  It wasn't Vincent and Bo's footsteps you were hearing, it was Roy and hi fiancé Stella, they were trying to stop Michael from running around with that fucked up shit.  And it wasn't Bo calling your name, it was Mr. Noel begging you to come back because mom was panicking, and threatening to call the police because she couldn't find you.

You heard the footsteps fade from behind you, but you kept running.  This was a literal matter of life an death, and you weren't risking it.

The sun began to rise from the horizon, signaling a new day.  And you kept running.  Eventually, your feet felt like knives were being driven through them with every step, and your lungs felt like they were about to implode.  You slowed to a walk, and didn't stop.  You weren't going to stop till you were sure you were safe.

You saw the trees opening up a bit further ahead, so you started power walking to the opening.  You stumbled onto a road, and started grinning like a god damn idiot.  You were happy as fuck.  You were home free!  You heard a car horn blare out, and your head snapped over.  An old orange pickup truck rolled down the road, and you dove out of the way.

The truck slowed to a stop, and you tried to look at the driver.  You were at a very unfortunate angle, and so you couldn't see who was driving though.

"Hey kid," Lester greeted.  "The hell you doin' out here?"

"Lester," you exclaimed happily.  "I need help!  There's these two crazy people after me!"

"Oh, oh my... hop in, I'll get you to a police station.  Where's the other two you were with?"

"The crazy guys got them," you answered.

You climbed into the truck, in the passenger's seat rather than the truckbed this time.  Lester turned the truck around, and started driving down the road.  You watched the world outside the window, and started to notice some familiar scenery.

"Wait, the crazy men are this way," you told him, starting to panic a bit.

Lester just looked at you and smiled, suddenly seeming more... put together.  He snickered as you moved away from him, putting as much distance in between you two as possible.  He was getting really creepy right about now.

You don't think straight when you're panicked.

"God damn it," you muttered.

God fucking damn it sounds perfect to describe your predicament right about now.  You panicked, and you forgot a major part about your little friend who was driving.  He was the one who brought you to Ambrose in the first place, and acted like it was an actual town.  He had lured your group in.

This time, when Lester reached the washed out road, he just flipped a switch rather than get out to do something.

"Ya know, this is probably real bad fer my truck, but I don' think Vinny'll want ya gettin' away," Lester smiled.

You stayed as far away from him as possible, and you watched in horror as he drove past the buildings of the town.  You were horrified as he past the pet store, and the puppies waved their mechanical tails.  You named them, how could they betray you like that?!  Lester kept driving, and you took a little pride in the mess you and Nick had made.  Sadly, it was all for naught.

Lester started driving down that one hidden road, making his way past the apartments that hid the House of Wax.  He began slowing down as he approached the house on the hill.  Well, at least you went down with a fight.

A/n: I watched 'Hellboy' for the first time, and I'm honestly surprised by the lack of fics. Although, there's some pretty cool fanart.
