''Come on bud, I know you have doubts. But! I'm sure we'll find another island or at least something to explore. It just takes time!"

[ The human covered in dragon scales tried to reassure his dragon friend, which only replied in a groan. ]

''I guess you're right.."

[ He let out a sigh and plopped down on his back against the dragon. ]

''Ever since Drago.. And dad last year.. We haven't found anything. It's like a curse."

[ The scaled friend kept silent. ]

"Let's just find somewhere to rest for tonight, bud."

[ For what felt like an hour, the two had found a rock pillar forming from the ocean. Charred dents were scattered all around the thick stone pillar. It was obvious to the pair it was a dragon's roost for the ones who migrate, but as they got closer, something was very wrong. It wasn't any normal charred stone, for it had no relations with the average fire of a dragon. Instead of being a dark charcoal black like a Monstrous Nightmare's or a Deady Nadder's, it had remains of plasma. The stone had a faint glow of many different colours, ranging from green, red and even yellow with the common purple and blue. ]

[ Hiccup landed in the biggest dent and examined the charred stone, instead of crumbling, it stuck together and felt like obsidian. He didn't want to get his hopes up, but this is what exactly happens after Toothless would warm up the rock to sleep on, but it always would cool down quickly after he left the spot, and this obsidian was still warm. ]

[ He searched around more and noticed various fish bones scattered and half eaten, as if they were in a rush. ]

[ Hiccup looked for Toothless who was distracted by something else entirely. He walked over to his scaled friend seeing the horror he saw. ]

[ A tunnel, pitch black, it wouldn't have been that scary without the eyes watching. ]

[ Wait.. Eyes? ]

[ Thousands of eyes stared at the pair in shock and disbelief. ]

[ Each pair of eyes were impossibly unique, ranging from the wildest greens, to the softest blues and hundreds more that were limited by the human eye's cone cells. ]

[ The few seconds of staring felt like an eternity, thoughts rushing through both their minds. ]

[ Hiccup grasped his sword lightly, trying not to spook the supposed furies. He didn't know for sure, but there was damn well enough evidence. The scales? Identical to Toothless. The cat like eyes? Identical, just ranging every colour the human eye could see. ]

[ The eyes turned in confusion, did they not know what he was? Haven't they ever seen a human before? ]

[ Maybe it was the dragon scale armour that confused them? Well, no matter what they thought, it was clear he was the target of attention. ]

[ Toothless, now realising this, stood in front of the hoard of eyes, growling, trying to get them to back off. He didn't care if there was more, just as long as his best friend was alive. ]

[ The eyes in the tunnel didn't flinch, but rather were. . . Mocking him, laughing at him ]

[ The eyes shifted to his bright red tail fin, smelling the man made object. ]

[ Their eyes were no longer with curiosity but rather. . . Sorrow and anger, mixed evenly. ]

[ A loud, scratchy, ancient roar echoed through the tunnel. ]

[ In the blink of an eye, before the human body could react, Toothless was pulled into the shadows, yanked, with only a shriek before Hiccup, was the dragged into the shadows like a small sheep during a raid. ]

[ Just from the force of the pull, they both lost consciousness and slid against the cold floor. ]
