I lit up the candles as the sun began to fade. "I've spent most of my nights scared to sleep in the darkness. Now I won't be scared when I have a little candle to remind me of home" I whisper to myself. I inhaled the candles warmth I smiled softly, comfort rushing over me. "Comforting, isn't it?" Lo'ak's voice said. "Mmhmm. I found a way to give it a fragrance I'm so glad" I said as I turned around. "I mean I would have survived if it didn't have a fragrance-" I stopped talking as I saw something in Lo'ak's left hand. I blinked multiple times to clear my vision. I gasped, quietly, realizing it was a dagger.

"Um...Lo'ak? What's that for?" I chuckle, nervously. He brought it up to him, and looked back at me. "No...no no no. This isn't real." "It is real-" "NO! This is a joke right? Come on! No!" I said, hyperventilating. "This isn't a joke. This is happening" Lo'ak replied, calmly. Tears start to form my eyes, I looked up at him to see him look away. "N-no don't do this. I-I-" "I have to do this-" "NO YOU DON'T!!! YOU'RE RUINING EVERYTHING!!! WHY? WHY THIS? WHY ME? WHY NOW???" I sob.

Lo'ak stayed silent as he continued to stare. "Lyre-" "Don't. Please. I swear if you do this to me I will never trust anyone again" I said, coldly. It was silent for a second. He took his dagger and pointed it at me. I knew my fate right then. I closed my eyes with hateful affirmations towards him.

"I can't..." He whispered.

I opened my eyes, to see his eyes widen. "Lyre...come here" He said with open arms. I cry, running into his arms. "I'm so so so sorry, Lyre. You must have been so scared" He whispered. "I'm sorry. I promise you everything is going to be just fine" I felt a sharp pain in my back or A sharp item.

He did it.

I groaned in pain as he twisted it back and forth before he took it out. Tears steamed out as my breath hitched. I looked at him with pure hatred in my eyes.

"And to think I thought I could trust people..."
