[Caspian kept on working with the others on the reconstruction of castle Cair Paravel, but he also designed a plan for a ship. His design was inspired by the ship of the Golden Ages, The Splendor Hyaline, and he chose the name, The Dawn Treader, for their upcoming ship. A month and three weeks passed and Susan hadn't been feeling good. She was constantly throwing up, feeling nauseous, and she was constantly feeling tired, and moody. One day, Susan and Lucy were talking in their bedroom, and Susan mentioned that she had missed her period. Unbeknownst to them, Peter and Edmund were listening outside the door, but then quickly left as soon as they heard the girls almost at the door. Susan's mother had noticed the changes in Susan, and she, Peter, and Edmund were worried about Susan]
<a week later>
{In the living room}
Peter: Come on, Susan, you can't keep things from me. I know these signs, I saw them when mum was pregnant with Edmund and Lucy, so you might as well just admit it
Susan: There's nothing to admit to, Peter, so stop bugging me!
Peter: You've been throwing up, you've been moody, you've been avoiding certain foods, and you've been more tired than normal. Besides Edmund and I heard you tell Lucy that you missed your period
Edmund: Hey woah now, don't drag me into this
Susan: You were spying on us?!
Lucy: Peter! Edmund!
Edmund: He dragged me!
Peter: You said that it would be a good idea to spy on them to see what was going on
Edmund: No, I said it would be a bad idea to spy on the girls and you ignored me, dragged me to their door, and shushed me when I tried to tell you that this would backfire, which it did!
Peter: As an older brother, I thought I was doing the right thing. We're worried about you, Sue, and mum is worried about you too
Edmund: Well, that is true, we are worried for you
Susan: First of all, Peter, we're twins, so we're both the older siblings, and you're only older than me by ten minutes, big deal. Second, it's just a stomach bug, that's all, there's nothing wrong with me, and sometimes stress causes girls to miss their periods
Peter: I know but what about the other symptoms?
Susan: Stomach bug
Edmund: I find that hard to believe since you've never gotten sick, not once in your whole life
Peter: Exactly, just tell us the truth, we've never kept secrets from one another, and we really are worried
Susan: Alright, fine, I think, I might be pregnant
Peter: I knew it
Lucy: We must tell mum once she gets back from the market
Susan: Yeah, I know
Peter: Look, Sue, there's no denying it, you're pregnant and I'm pretty sure I know who the guy was
Susan: Peter
Peter: Don't tell me it's not true because I won't believe you
Lucy: Sue, just tell them, it's bound to come out sooner or later
Susan: Ok, fine, yes, it was Caspian
Peter: Oh my God, Susan, we fought alongside him for four days, are you kidding me right now? How could you have slept with him?
Susan: I fell in love with him, Peter, I love Caspian with every bit of my heart and soul
Peter: After four freaking days?!
Susan: YES! It only took me three days to fall completely in love with him. There's no other guy like him in this world, he's so handsome, kind, intelligent, and courageous. He's a gentleman, and he sees me for who I am on the inside. You can't help who you fall for, and in this case, Caspian stole my heart in three days
(Peter sighs and sits beside her)
Peter: Look, at least I'm glad that this happened with Caspian who I approve of, and not some random bloke who doesn't mean anything to you. Who I wouldn't approve of and who I would be willing to kick his bloody arse
Susan: Thank you, but it doesn't even matter, because I'll never see him again. I can never go back to Narnia, there's no way he'll ever find out that I'm most likely carrying his baby, and that's what breaks my heart the most
(Susan starts to cry)
Lucy: Remember what Aslan said, things never happen the same way twice, so who knows what can happen for you and Caspian. There might still be an opportunity for you two to be together
Edmund: But no matter what happens, you will always count on us
Susan: Thank you, guys
Peter: Of course
[Edmund and Lucy sit with Peter and Susan and they all group hug. After a small while, they pull away, and their mother comes home]
Mrs.Pevensie: I'm home
Edmund: Hey, mum
Lucy: Hi, mum
Peter: Hey, mum
Susan: Hi
Mrs.Pevensie: How do you feel, Susan?
Susan: The same, but I need to tell you something
Mrs.Pevensie: And what's that?
Susan: Mum, I'm, I'm pregnant
Mrs.Pevensie: Hmm, I had a feeling, I know those symptoms anywhere, you three go upstairs, your sister and I need to talk alone
Peter: But, mum-
Mrs.Pevensie: Now
Susan: It's alright, guys, go
(The three of them go upstairs and Mrs.Pevensie sits down)
Mrs.Pevensie: First off, did someone force you to do something that you didn't want to do?
Susan: No, mum, nobody forced me to do anything
Mrs.Pevensie: Ok, that's a relief, now, second of all, what were you thinking?! You're a child-
Susan: Mum, I am not a child, I'm seventeen-
Mrs.Pevensie: You are a teenager, Susan, you're about to graduate high school, and you're about to go off to college
Susan: What, it's not like you and dad never did it
Mrs.Pevensie: Do not come at me with that argument because your father and I waited until the day we got married
Susan: Sometimes you can't wait, alright, mum
Mrs.Pevensie: No, it's not alright, Susan, it's called controlling your hormones
Susan: Well, I don't regret a single thing, and I never will
(Mrs.Pevensie sighs and shakes her head)
Mrs.Pevensie: Who's the father?
(Susan looks away)
Mrs.Pevensie: Susan, who's the father?
Susan: It doesn't matter
Mrs.Pevensie: Of course it does, who is that baby's father?
Susan: Mum, don't worry about it
Mrs.Pevensie: How can you say that? Don't you know who the father is?
Susan: Of course, I do
Mrs.Pevensie: Then tell me
Susan: Mum, just drop the subject already, it doesn't matter
(She went to her room)
Mrs.Pevensie: Good Lord, when did she get so difficult?
(She closed and locked the back door then she went to the kitchen to start on dinner. For the rest of the night, everything was quiet and awkward)
