Part 19 --- Regrets

Steve's POV

If I could turn back the clock, I'd make sure the light defeated the dark, I'd spend every hour of every day keeping you safe...🎶

I'd climb every mountain and swim every ocean, just to be with you and fix what I've broken..🎶

Please come back now...🎶

How do I even say it, missing her seems like an understatement. There is no single day I don't regret what I did, how I let my anger control me. How I pushed the woman I love the most away.

"Come on dude, you playing those songs makes me think you life is like a funeral but with no corpse."

" You have no idea what it feels like.. Sophia is right next to you every single day so how would you know how I feel."

" Well whoever said time heals all wounds should have told us more about wounds from love. But honestly dude, I completely understand you, I mean I try to imagine my life without Sophia and I look back and can't help to admire how strong you are. If it was me in your shoes, I would have gone mad already."

" I hope you don't fuck up like I did, because you have no idea how it feels like waking up in the morning but still stuck in yesterday. Closing my eyes and wishing tommorow never comes."

" Wooah, tommorow is Sharon's wedding day so please don't rub your bad vibes in her." Dave spoke in a dramatic way earning a chuckle from me. Ever since Corra disappeared, Sharon, Moraa, Sophia and I became friends. We spend a lot of time together trying to look for her and ended up becoming very good friends. I also learnt a lot of things about Corra from them.

"Don't worry, for the sake of Corra, I am going to make sure her wedding becomes the talk of the town. I wish Corra was here for her best friend. "

" You know I can't help but wonder if she completely forgot about her friends. If only she was here then Sharon's joy would have been complete."

" I also think of it that way but all am praying for is that she's safe wherever she is. Meanwhile, Mr. Bestman, don't you think it's time for the wedding preparations? We need to attend the last meeting to finalize all the arrangements."

I was the reason why Corra was not going to attend her friends wedding and for that I had to strive and feel in her place. Although it may not be the same but I'd rather give it my best.

Sharon's POV

"I can't believe you are here bestie. Dear heavens, you look so different. I missed you so much.. why did you run away, you lied to all of us, you promised to keep in touch but you never did. You have no idea how frustrated and worried all of us were. No matter what happens am never going to let you out of my sight ever again..."

"Calm down girl, am back and this time round am not going to run away." I hugged her as though my life depended on it. Although I badly wanted to scream to the world and tell them my best friend had come back but she didn't want anybody to know she was here and I had to respect that.

In the meeting earlier today I promised everyone that the catering and the serving of food at my wedding was taken care of but I didn't tell them who was behind it. Corra had an already established Catering business and therefore everything from the VIP to all the guest meals would be taken care by her.

Divine meals ...Was the name of her business. I was glad that she had not only healed from her heartbreak but also achieved one of her biggest dreams. She however needed to settle back in the country and I was more than willing to help her.

" Tell me more about this prince charming that tamed the play girl." I rolled my eyes at her statements. Even though she had matured physically, she was still the same Corra.

" Well, I should partly thank you for that. After you disappeared, I spent so much time looking for you that I hardly had time to focus on all the men I had. Matter of fact they all begun to irritate me, they wanted my attention while I focused so much in trying to find you. When I lost hope, I decided to work and just focus on myself and that's when I met him.
Silas, he is not that handsome or cute, he is just an average looking guy. He came into our company as an investor and from then we started talking and later became close. He just fits in the type of guy I always wanted. He just completes me and I am dead sure that I want to spend the rest of my life with him."

" Say no more bestie.. jeez, I've never seen you praise a guy with so much passion. You don't even need to tell me, it's written all over you. I bet not just for the rest of your life but you wish to spend  seven lifetimes with him if possible. "

"Aah.. usiseme zaidi, huyo ni chaguo la moyo bana.." I emphasized my praises on him. Silas was my choice and even if I had to chose, I'd pick him over and over again.

"Mi, nakuchagua wewe, wewe uwe wangu.. mume wangu baba ya watoto wangu..

"Tujenge boma nawe, nizae watoto nawe, niwalee pamoja nawe, nizeeke pamoja nawe..

Chaguo la moyo... Tantaratanta.."

I joined Corra in singing to my favourite song. Corra was always a fan of love songs but after I met Silas, I have also joined in the long list of Bongo devotees. Bongo songs have a way of expressing love in the most romantic and poetic way.
I made sure the song was going be played tomorrow on my wedding. He was my heart's desire, I wished to build a home with him, get kids and take care of them together and grow old together with him.

"That reminds me, are having a party tonight? You need to take the last look on all sexy and hot guys before you get imprisoned for life. "

" Yeah, but it will be a normal party, I don't want wahala on my wedding day. I wouldn't want someone popping in with a picture of me kissing a dude and spoil my day." I answered as my thoughts travelled to Tunu. I was grateful that she was in prison otherwise I wouldn't have held the party at all.

I had so much to tell Corra but all that had to wait.

" Honeymoon plans? Where are you guys going to?"

" Well we are not going out the country. We are going to an exclusively private place in Mombasa. I prefer making my babies here at home. " I answered blushing at the thought of that.

"Awww... that sounds great. But it was my idea girl."

" Ooh please, give me a break. It was our idea. The whole beach vacation was our idea. But come on it's not as if am going to finish everything. I am only going to make the way."

" Make which way... could it be the one between something?"

" Seriously, you never change. But just to give you a clue, that one way that can be opened by the meaty rode."

Okay.. you know the rule. Once it rises, them legs part ways for the boneless commander to mark it's dominance.. not my words though, it's the rule of baby making.

It's been long since I had those dirty talks and am glad Corra is back. Corra was that type of friend who you would never put on loud speaker because she would definitely embarrass you. Infact I'd rather dip my phone in water than let you go through our text messages.

" Don't worry, am going to make sure I eat that banana real good..in all kinds of styles and positions. The honeymoon will just be a formality. January is quite far to wait.

Wait.. why January? I thought you guys are leaving on Sunday after the wedding."

Nope, we'll go for honeymoon after new year. Actually we were supposed to get married early next year but damn getting married on January wasn't going well with everyone. So we scheduled to get married this December finish our pending projects, celebrate Christmas and New year with everybody then leave for some lone couple time."

"Sounds great..
